After reading all of the great reviews on this website, we hired Kevin Andrews to remove a dead maple tree in our backyard and grind the stump out so that we could replant a new tree. Kevin told us that he would arrive on August 1 so I took the day off work to meet with him. He was a no show. I called several times before he finally answered and we rescheduled for August 3rd. He was 4 hours late but I still gave him the benefit of the doubt. Kevin quoted us $800 for the whole job and after a couple of hours of work, he said that the guy with the "stumper" to grind out the roots wasn't available until the end of the week but that they would return to get the job done in just a few days. It has been over a month, nearly 25 calls to Kevin's office and cell phone, and no one has shown up. Unfortunately, our money is long gone as Kevin made sure to collect it in cash so we are now left with a huge stump in the middle of our yard (see picture) and out of pocket for the cost of completing the job. Be wary of this company.

In August 2007, Green Grass installed a sprinkler for the front and back yard. The crew that arrived was polite and took the time to explain what they were going to do. Once completed, there were a couple of leaks in the main pipe that another contractor at my house had created. The crew fixed the problems regardless of how it was created. They even came back when I had to make adjustments. I used them for the winter shut off and will use them again this year. Overall, a great experience from Green Grass!
