Absolutely brilliant. I hired Armstrong to pick up a high value container of European furniture from the CP rail terminal and deliver the furniture to my house. Despite the incredibly short lead time (another moving company ditched me at the last minute), Armstrong pulled it off without a hitch. And to boot, they were a little cheaper than the other company too. I worked with Jamie and Ryan to deal with the container pickup and they were more than helpful in answering my questions as it was the first time I was importing furniture in a container. They were extremely responsive and a pleasure to work with. They had incredible attention to detail and handled several shipping issues very professionally. They did not attempt to nickel and dime me for several things like uncrating and simple assembly, which is what some of their competitors have done. The day of the furniture delivery, the crew arrived on time, took great care with the furniture and were extremely efficient. They delivered everything very quickly, were courteous and very precise with placement. Nothing was damaged. They also were very helpful with applying furniture pads and dutifully checked for factory damage, which is a service level above and beyond the rest. This is my second time using Armstrong and I was impressed both times. They were timely, detail oriented and friendly both times. I would highly recommend them for any move, local or international, and given my experiences I now trust them with high value items and complex logistics.

I can't speak to the quality of their moving, and maybe they're good at local moves, but this company misrepresented itself for months and left me scrambling to find another moving company only two days before the actual scheduled move. I specifically called and booked them to handle a container of furniture coming into a rail terminal, and then deliver the furniture to my house, almost two months in advance. Anna from Hercules assured me on the phone at least three times that they were able to do this pickup at the rail terminal, and would be able to unload it there. She specifically confirmed multiple times that I wouldn't need to contact a third party to deal with the container and Hercules could handle the whole thing. I gave them the actual CP rail terminal address and pickup number weeks in advance. Two days before the container arrived, I called to check up on things and was told by Igor (Anna went on vacation that week) that they aren't licensed to pickup at the rail terminal and that they didn't know how to use the pickup number. He suggested I call another company myself, pay them additional money and have them pickup the container and bring it to Hercules' warehouse. He then tried to blame me because because they confused CN rail with CP rail, even though I made it clear it the pickup location could be CP rail almost a month before through multiple emails and calls. I doubt that they are able to accomplish either and they should stop telling people that they have these capabilities. From the outset I only booked them because they falsely claimed they could handle the whole process. I had to immediately find another moving company in two days who actually did the container pickup and unloading without a hitch, and were cheaper to boot. I would not recommend Hercules to anyone.

Company Response

Hello Stephen,
Thank you for taking the time to write your review. We would like to address some of the issues you have expressed in your review.
1) We have told the client that we can reload belongings from the container and deliver it locally.
2) The container got stuck in transit due to a strike in Montreal and that container final destination got changed, and it will be delivered either to Brampton or Vaughan location.
3) The client was being told once again, that our company can't take the actual container. To relocate his belongings from the container, we would need to enter the facility and do the reload on the place. The client Agreed and had no problems with it.
4) The location, which had the container, didn't allow our movers to enter the facility. As a result, we couldn't relocate his belongings. The client was informed about the situation weeks in advance.
5) Client hasn't mentioned CN rail with CP rail.

Once again, we're sorry that you feel this way about the service that we provided.
Please feel free to contact us if you’d like to discuss this issue further.

Yours truly,
Hercules Moving Company.

Absolutely brilliant. Ben was timely, friendly, and clearly a man who has a passion for rugs. They cleaned a very large, handwoven, expensive rug for me and got it spotless and odour-free, and we had two Aubussons that we treated with fibreguard. The results were impressive; Ben got the rugs back extremely quickly in a few days and was super responsive. He then poured water on the rug to show me the effects of the fibreguard treatment - none of the liquid permeated into the rug. Will absolutely return to Ben for anything rug related.
