Before contacting Stephane from Hanks Appliances, we had a horrible experience with another appliance repair company (Moez from PCHS Appliance Repair). Stephane is highly knowledgable that reflects from deep experience. He showcased a very methodical way of problem solving and did an initial requirement gathering prior to his visit. He was spot on in identifying the issue and took extreme care in removing parts, testing and fixing back in. He was extremely professional in his work and explained what had went wrong and what needs to be fixed. Very honest and clear on the costs for parts and services - no surprises. I can surely trust him for all future work (I was informed that currently he works on Samsung appliances) and strongly recommends others to not hesitate in requesting his service. Whitby,ON (December 2019): I called in for a repair service for my fridge and the technician (Mr. Moez) was not only unprofessional but also incompetent. He had no clue and had no systematic approach of problem solving. Myself, I'm an engineer and specialize in problem solving - although fridge or electronics is not my scope, I know what it takes. I wasted my time and money ($80 + taxes for service call) and still unclear what's wrong, what needs to be fixed, how much it would cost. Absolutely not recommend them to anyone.
