We had a fridge that decidedly stopped cooling after hearing an ominous grinding noise coming from behind the freezer compartment. I immediately contacted Rick, who stopped by the next morning with a replacement part (evaporator fan motor) and had it installed within 30 minutes, restoring our 17 year old fridge to perfect working order. In an industry too common to hear "just buy a new appliance", Rick is a highly honest and professional technician helping to extend the lives of our everyday appliances. This isn't the first time we've called on Rick's services, he's saved the day on numerous occasions in the past and can't come recommended highly enough.

Had the crew from Finer Edge come paint out an entire condo which we're in the process of renovating. Bill, Luigi, Ross and the rest of the crew were a pleasure to deal with from start to finish and we couldn't be happier with the result. Finer Edge never disappoints and their work speaks for itself, all around great company to work with.

Tyler and his crew did an excellent job removing all the popcorn in our condo. They were all courteous, clean and a pleasure to work with throughout. The finished ceilings really transformed (and brightened) the space. Well worth the investment and highly recommended!

We had issues needing attention relating to both an oven not heating and a broken dishwasher sprayer arm. Called Rick based on the reviews here and was not disappointed. Rick came out to diagnose and was able to repair both devices in a single visit, promptly and reliably. Great experience, definitely recommended!

Brought in Finer Edge to stain and bring back to life an Ipe deck which had faded after years in the sun. After finding a stretch of dry weather, Attila had arrived and did an incredible job - lightly sanding, prepping and finally applying the stain, the deck looks absolutely incredible. An absolute pleasure working with Atilla, Peter, Luigi and the entire Finer Edge crew from start to finish. Highly recommended!

We hired Andy to come seal a tricky second floor sunroom which had been progressively spawning new leaks for a couple years now and in need of a reseal. Andy was quick to respond and schedule an inspection, suggesting what was needed to thoroughly seal the entire sunroom. After deciding to move forward, Andy and his assistant arrived and installed new flashing and re-sealed the entire sunroom. We have had several downpours since and not a drop inside since. Kudos to Andy and his assistant for all their great work. A true pleasure to deal with throughout and I would not hesitate to recommend their services to others.

Dion and his crew at Hudson Tree came and did a great job pruning a giant maple and performing an exploratory dig using an air spade. The entire crew were professional, courteous and great to work with throughout. Highly recommended!

Had a wonderful experience working with Lauren at the Urban Forest Company from start to finish. As we plan out a summer project, we wanted to ensure we limit any potential damage to surrounding trees and had hired Lauren to prepare an arborist report. From start to finish, Lauren was a pleasure to work with, offering insight, helpful knowledge and attention to detail throughout. After having our old furnace "red tagged" due to a crack in the heat exchanger, we decided it was time to invest in a new unit. Boris arrived to inspect and explain my options more thoroughly than any of the other companies we had called - his knowledge of HVAC systems is second to none. Boris's crew arrived after the holidays and installed both the new furnace and AC unit on the same day. We were thrilled with the experience from beginning to end; honest, reputable, professional and a first-rate installation job. After receiving several quotes, decided to go with M&R based primarily on the reviews here and was glad we did. Maciej was professional throughout and the team on-site performing the work were very friendly, hard-working and clean. Left the job site as if they were never here. Roof looks fantastic and we couldn't be more pleased to have chosen M&R for our roofing needs.

I had engaged Pambis Appliance to help diagnose an issue some tenants of mine were having with their washer. From the moment I contacted Pambis Appliance, I knew I was in good hands. Pete and Chris exemplify professionalism; they were able to quickly diagnose, order replacement units and arrange for their hookup and install over the course of a week. Had a wonderful experience working with Vlad and the crew in putting in new quartz counters into our kitchen. We had the unfortunate situation where a slab had accidentally cracked during production and the crew at Toronto Granite went the extra mile to get a replacement (even driving to the supplier themselves!) in order to accommodate our plumber arriving. Put simply: if you have a painting company where many in your crew have been working for you for over 15 years, you know they are doing something right. Had Finer Edge come by to paint our kitchen and we are extremely pleased with the results. From first contact to job completion, these guys were professional, courteous and prompt! Had Canada Glass and Mirror stop by to quote on a bathtub and shower door tempered glass enclosure based on a recommendation from a friend. Sam stopped by the next day to measure up our bathrooms and offer some advice in terms of what would looks best. After deciding to go with them (their quote was on par with competitors out there), I was not disappointed in the least. Their installers showed up roughly a week after we accepted the quote and true to their word, installed the glass door enclosure and bathtub glass as per our quote. The installers were very friendly, courteous and delivered a professional finish that we were very happy with. Would recommend them in a heartbeat.

Having seen some of Greg's work on other projects, we had no doubt that Greg would be the right person for our complete bathroom gut and remodel job. And now that the job has finished, we can absolutely stand behind that statement. Greg was an absolute pleasure to work with. We hired Richard to clean and maintain our BAXI Combination boiler and extend a gas line to the deck. Working with Richard was an absolute pleasure. He is thorough, fair and very tidy in his work. Above all else, Richard has a knowledge of radiant heat (rad) systems that I have yet to experience from others. His knowledge, expertise and attention to detail are second to none.

John and Edward arrived to service our 8 year old ductless air conditioner the other day. They were prompt, courteous and thorough in their work. Very happy with our first experience using Northwood and certainly plan to use them again moving forward.

When my tenant had called to inform me that her fridge had just gone on the fritz, one day before she was to be hosting a rather large party, I was short on options. Fortunately for me, I had come across this listing for Downtown Toronto Appliance Repair and had called them first thing in the morning. Richard was very quick to respond, informing me that he would be able to make the trip there that same day. After arriving on site, not only did Richard diagnose the problem quickly, but he also carries with him the spare parts required to fix the job. Within an hour, the fridge was working again and my tenants (and I) were extremely happy. Richard knows his stuff and was a pleasure to deal with. I will most definitely keep his number close for future incidents.

Couldn't have asked for more. We hired Kevin for a number of projects, namely drywall finishing, ceiling stipple skimcoating, plastering and wall demolition and rebuild. Kevin is a first rate contractor and a true pleasure to work with. His eye for detail and craftsmanship are top notch, and the finished result is flawless. We are beyond happy with the work Kevin and his team had done for us and wouldn't hesitate to recommend him to anyone. In short, you can't go wrong with Kevin!

Andy and Lara from Avenue Insulation were prompt, courteous and very knowledgeable when discussing our needs with respect to spray foam insulating our basement and sunroom. After agreeing to use their services, the spray foam truck was scheduled to arrive the following week. True to their word, their installers showed up right on time, as expected. The guys were great, very friendly, courteous and cleaned everything up after themselves once they were done. We're very happy with the results we got from Avenue Insulation and will definitely use them again in the future and recommend them to our friends.

An absolute pleasure working with Tony De Bartolo and his crew of very capable craftsman. Tony carefully explained several options to for our sunroom window replacement and garden door install. After placing our order, the goods were delivered a mere short 4 weeks later. Tony's installer, Jose, is simply the best. His craftsmanship, patience and expertise was prominent over the two days he spent installing our windows and doors. They were prompt, careful and very clean -- always cleaning up after themselves and leaving the job site perfectly clean. We look forward to working with Tony and Jose again when it's time to replace our front and side entrance doors.

I had hired Alex's team to replace some old laminate countertops with granite and was extremely pleased. Not only was the price right, but their team of installers were professional, courteous and paid very close attention to detail. Both our countertops and backsplash were replaced with a a new granite surface which and absolutely stunning. Would definitely use and recommend Kitchen Land again.

We were in need of having some repair work done to free up a clogged downspout that had burst its seam. In addition, many of our gutters were pulling away from the fascia, which needed to be re-attached. Had decided to call in the Avenue Road Roofing repair department. Their repair crew had called the next day to schedule an appointment, and were very prompt. The repair guy was great, very friendly, courteous and finished the job perfectly.The gutters and downspout were fixed as requested, and to this day are still holding strong, so workmanship was as we expected. Only downside (and reason for the 8 rating) was their relatively high repair price.

The experience we had using Tom's Trucker movers was even better than expected. Three guys arrived on time, the morning of the move, with smiles on their faces, and great attitudes. Not only did they take the time to meticulously pack, wrap and carefully load up my possession within my condo, but they also made a stop at my girlfriend's home to pick up her stuff (which ended up taking two trips!) All in all, they spent the entire day, in great spirits, moving us into our new home, up two story's, without a single complaint, or extra charge. The guys were great, their rates are great, and I wouldn't hesitate to use them again, or recommend them to friends. Top notch, really.

We had hired Jason through the recommendation of a trusted friend to dig our basement down to a height of 7 foot 5", underpin our foundation, dig down an addition foot and a half, and finally pour a new slab. True to his word, Jason and his crew delivered. They were consistently on time, hard working and cleaned up after themselves each day. I would certainly recommend Jason for any concrete, tuck point, parging or brick work and will certainly be using him again in the future.

When we were in need of a new boiler/tankless hot water heater, we looked to several companies for quotes and to discuss the various options available. Included in our discussions was Paul from Ductless.ca. Paul was very honest when presenting the pros/cons of tankless systems, outlining the benefits and what we should expect. Overall, we decided to move forward and have Paul and his team install the unit (all the while removing our old 30 year old system). Paul and his staff were courteous and professional. They installed the system properly and we have been very satisfied ever since. The entire process (not to mention the price) was a pleasure and we will definitely be using Ductless.ca in the future.

Honesty, experience, knowledge, and integrity are all traits we strive to find when we look to hire trades. Unfortunately, it's not always straightforward finding contractors who possess these traits. We were in a situation where we discovered old clay drainage when renovating our basement, clay drain that to be replaced with a more modern solution. After an exhaustive search through a myriad of plumbing companies, we felt we were being quoted excessive prices and far out "scare tactics". Then I came across Matthew of Son Plumbing. Matthew visited our home, assessed the situation and provided a quote that was reasonable (ie: fair!) and gave me additional suggestions to improve our bathroom layout. True to his word (and his price), Matthew completed the job in a manner whereby it was obvious through his craftsmanship and patience that he not only cares about his customers, but is proud of his work. I wouldn't hesitate to hire Matthew again, and will certainly be bringing him back for our next renovation project. Thank you Matthew! You truly stand out from the rest.
