Charge 165 for the call replaced and outlet, changed a fixture, and brought in a new 20amp circuit from a panel to a new outlet. Would be nice if the 165 fee would go towards work being done.. as the total cost was perhaps a bit high. But two guys were here working for over 3 hours to complete the work they wore booties on the house and were very professional. They cleaned up behind themselves and did nice clean professional work.

Thank you Matthew. The last year has been an extreme challenge to provide a high level of quality and service, and maintain a correct price structure. Unfortunately, our costs continue to rise dramatically, and we hope that soon they will stabilize. Thank you for choosing Captain Electric.

I approached bill after seeing his signs up in the neighbourhood. He promptly came out to look at our basement water issue and developed a plan to take care if. His team was skilled and hard worker, the performed extra repair work to our foundation at very reasonable rates. Overall very satisfied with work and Bills service.

WOW! THESE GUYS ARE HORRIBLE. DO NOT CALL THEM!!! Any positive reviews are by people who have no idea what anything costs. I called about a front loading washing machine drainage pump, I asked how much will the call cost. They say $80 and then that will be deducted from the repair. I say okay come out and see it. Two guys come in and have the the machine drained and the motor removed in about 25 mins. They find some coins and bobby pins that were apparently preventing the motor from turning. I am told the motor is definitely broken... and they can repair it or replace it for $200 or $475 respectively. I think that this is outrageous so I make a call to another place and they say they have the motor for $50 and will install it for $90. Plus when I asked what was required for a repair I can't get a straight answer out of the guy... "oh we'll take it a part and then you got fix the free spin... it shouldn't do that" he says, He also cannot clearly tell me how he tested it to be sure that the blockage did harm the motor and not just prevented it from working for a couple of seconds. So getting the sense that I was being ripped off, I said you know what just put it back together I'll pay you your $80 and you can get out. He says... well it's not just $80 anymore it's another $100 for the diagnostic. Absolute garbage! SERVICE4APPLIANCES WILL RIP YOU OFF!!! BEWARE!!!!!!

Company Response

Hi Mathew,

We are very sorry you had such a bad experience with our company,
However regarding your review we would like to say in our defense that our service call charge is always $80. ofcourse in your case it was a little bit different since our technicians spent more time taking it apart and diagnosing the washer. we always mention that to our customers so we do apologize for any inconvenience.
Regarding our prices for parts,I am sure you are aware that every company has their own pricing list, which is why we give the customer an opportunity to shop around, and also why we waive the cost of our service call fee if the customer does repair it with us.
On that note we would like to apologize once again and we hope you will still consider us if needed in the future.

Regards
