We purchased our house last April (2019) and it needed alot of TLC to make it our forever home. Kitchen, baths, L/R, etc. We had several contractors quote the work, but Rob from Brit Renos was the one we decided to go with. Not necessarily because his price was the best, but he gave us a more personable feeling and one we felt we could rely on when things go off the rails. His quotation was detailed which I appreciated. His personal commitment and engagement my wife appreciated. Over the course of several months of work, Rob and his team did everything possible to complete the work on time. The subtrades (plumbing, elec, drywall, paint, trim) were all top notch and their level of quality and care was above my own personal standards in most instances. Overall - Rob and his team (including Adam as the PM) restored our faith in renovation contractors, after our last reno at our previous home did not go well with another contractor. Case in point - near the end, as some things were getting delayed (no fault of Rob's team), the stresses were adding up, and my wife and I were a bit frustrated. Rob went out of his way on a Saturday night, and dropped off a bouquet of flowers for my wife to apologize for the stress and said he would get it all done in the next week. This little touch, is what Rob is about. He didn't have to do any of that, but he did, on his own time, and it was what made going with Brit Renos, the right decision for us. I have, and will continue to recommend Brit Renovations to friends and family for their renovation needs. He is not always the cheapest on paper, but the care, quality, and customer service provided far exceeds what the $$ amount in the quote details. We have other projects planned for our house, and I hope that Rob will be available to help, as we will not use any other contractor for the foreseeable future. Thanks to Rob and his entire team for making our house, our home.

We renovated our whole house, and decided to put in hardwood flooring from top to bottom. We worked with A&A Floors previously, and wanted to get a similar wood as our last home. Working with Peter we were able to get the right size and grade of flooring that we wanted, for a great price. We went with a 6" handscraped, engineered hardwood in charcoal grey color. Delivery was prompt and the quality of the materials was outstanding - we had less than 1% waste in over 2000 sq ft of flooring - approx 10 pieces total were not really useable based on our standard (large knots, or uneven scrape/finishing). As our project is still undergoing final touches, and the wood is covered by protective sheets/cardboard, we don't have any pictures, but will load some once the final product is done. We definitely recommend A&A Floors to our friends and others in need of flooring for their project. Great selection and great pricing overall.

We asked John to complete some interior trim work as we prepped our house to put up for sale. John was ontime, completed the work to amazing results and I would highly recommend him for anyone looking for trim work, or exterior fences and decks. We plan to use him for future projects in our new home.

We researched a new AC and Furnace as our units were 25+ yrs old and the AC unit was on its way out. We had quotes from several vendors, including the usual players. At the end of the day, Daniel from Atlascare made the difference for us. He was very friendly, explained all of the details of the quote in a professional manner. Although they were not the cheapest from the outset, we discussed the price with him and he was able to match the price of the lowest bidder on equivalent equipment (AFUE and SEER ratings). With their extensive warranty coverage, they were an easy choice once $$ were lined up to match similar equipment. The crew came to install on the August long weekend and were done in about 5 hrs and did a great job. Left the jobsite cleaner than they started and the install was professionally completed. We would definitely recommend them to anyone else looking for an AC or furnace replacement. The new equipment is great and even with the start of fall, keeping the thermostat at 19-20oC and our house is quite warm. Give Daniel a call if you are in need of a new HVAC system - he won't disappoint and get you the equipment that is right for your home, not more than you need.

Great service. Friendly workers. Protected all of the floors and walls (which were just replaced and painted) Not a single mark was left anywhere. They worked quickly and efficiently and cleaned every vent from the top floor to the basement and cleaned the main duct lines on the furnace. Cleaned out the furnace intakes as well. Did a great job overall for a great price. Would definitely recommend them to anyone who wanted a great/quality job for an outstanding price.

Brent was phenomenal - even with snow on the roof, he went out to inspect a leak we saw in the chimney. He squeezed into the attic despite a closet organizer partially blocking the access hatch. He even found a possible issue in the foundation that we found out was not more than a settling crack and was not an issue for us moving forward. Very friendly, explained everything in simple terms and definitely went out of his way during the inspection.

Thank you so much for the kind words and for taking the time to leave a review Ian! I am glad that you were happy with the inspection! Even though I know you're not too happy with the sneaky seller! ;-) Gotta love it when the closet organizer cuts off half the attic access for me. Always please feel free to contact me if you ever have any questions whatsoever about the home. Thanks again, and thank you for choosing Classic Home Inspections!
