Nice design, but the construction was poor. Foundation, sidewalks crumbling. Drywall crumbling. 22 inch passageway into utility room (useless). Plumbing leaks. The Production Manager handling the Saranac development doesn't seem to be managing anything once a contract is signed. Such a disappointment to put the construction of something as personal as your home in the hands of this guy. Avoid Brookfield Homes. Their corporate CEO may give interviews about the care and quality Brookfield puts into building a home, but he has the Brookfield Homes, Washington in charge of putting the hammer to the nail. It doesn't seem the company gives a rodents' rear-end about the people who are trusting Brookfield to build a 'home'. Please find some other company to build your home. Don't subject yourself to the poor quality and subsequent practice of denial of responsibility that these guys back up their substandard work with.

Approximate cost of services:
$500,000.00
What could this company do to improve their services?
Put someone in charge who loves what they do. Supervise construction. Manage contractors. Respond to client concerns. 'Apologize for and fix mistakes.
Any advice to offer fellow homeowners facing a similar project?
If you're only as strong as the weakest link then Brookfield Homes should be avoided as a company that will turn it's back on quality, customer service and responsibility. Learn from our mistake, take you business to a builder you can trust.
