My 1980's kitchen had some cabinet doors and a drawer that required new hardware to be installed. I found Paul on Homestars and he was able to come by and fix the cabinets within a few days of my email. He had the correct soft close hinges (I had been unable to obtain the right ones from the manufacturer). He charged me less than the quoted fee as the job required less time than originally thought. My kitchen is back to being fully functional, which is nice after working around the broken pieces for far too long.

When my daughter came home from Panama covered in bites, I immediately suspected bed bugs. Despite my best efforts in keeping her luggage out of the house I still found something that I thought might be a bed bug in her bed. I called Cary at Bed Bugs and Beyond--he arrived at my house within 10 minutes of my call and confirmed this was a bed bug. By the next day the crew was at my house and the treatment was completed. Cary always answered my calls/emails, even very early in the morning if I had worries about bed bug issues and I am pleased to report that the sniffer dog did not find any remaining bugs in my house. I am very glad I found such a conscientious and responsive company to deal with this problem.

I purchased a chair and sofa at Choice Leather this fall. I found the service in the store to be very attentive. When it came to delivery schedule, again, it was convenient and done with care. Last week I noticed a problem with one of the feet of the sofa. I emailed the store and within hours of reading my email, Adrian was at my house replacing the broken foot. The furniture itself is well built and so far no problems other than the broken foot that was quickly replaced.

I chose Bob based on Homestars reviews and by the fact that he told me he does not use fibreglass insulation, as I wanted to avoid fibreglass due to concern about mould (all other contractors said they would use fibreglass in my basement). I liked the fact that Bob listened to my thoughts on the project and was able to fulfil my requests and always answered my questions. He took the time to drive out of his way to, check out vanities that I was considering, to ensure that the construction and quality was adequate. He was able to obtain some of the plumbing materials through his plumbing supplier which saved money. He also picked up large items for me thus saving delivery charges. He was very attentive to details to ensure excellent finishing of the room. In addition he fixed a few non-bathroom related issues in my house, at no extra charge and even found hinges to fix my grandmother's antique Hoosier cabinet. We are very pleased with the result as our dingey, cold basement bathroom is now a cozy comfortable room that we all like to use.

Very professional service. John checked over my basement wiring which had been installed decades ago by the previous owner. He determined which outlets needed to be improved/changed/ rewired. Also upgraded several upstairs outlets which were outdated or non-functional. All his work passed the electrical inspection and we're very happy with the results

I read the reviews on Homestars and decided to have Alliance Floor Source install vinyl plank flooring in my living room since I have a dog and the old wooden floor was battered. I was impressed by the helpful service in the store, in selecting the flooring and with the punctual appointment in my home when Nemo came to measure everything. The installer also arrived punctually and did an excellent job. The floor looks wonderful and people think if is hardwood rather than vinyl! It seems quite sturdy and so far I do not see any scratch marks on it.
