Alan in Sainte-Émélie-de-l'Énergie

I first met Wolfgang (founder of ivories.ca) when I was recording a classical CD at the Glenn Gould Studio in Toronto. Wolfgang's work at the studio, coupled with his impressive reputation prompted me to book an appointment with him at my home (The Alan Hobbins Piano Studio). Wolfgang completed a variety of technical services on my 9ft. Steinway Concert Grand Piano. These include tuning, voicing, regulation of the action and a full re-hammering of the piano. The latter of these services were particularly complex, and as Wolfgang worked, it became clear that he has the experience, technical knowledge and attention to detail that is required to handle major technical projects. After Wolfgang's re-hammering and regulation work, I decided to use my piano for upcoming recordings. The difference was evident and the piano played like new. In each appointment (big and small), Wolfgang provided quick and reliable service and his attention to detail was unparalleled. It's clear that he takes pride in his work and treats the instrument with care. Wolfgang's work truly shines through when I play the piano after each appointment. Highly Recommended!
