The majority of the house is brick but there was a lot of trim, siding, chimney and caulking to do. They also painted the front and patio doors. I've had interior painting done before and know a BAD job when I see one - this was truly a professional job.

I don't remember how we got Robert's information but he completed a variety of repairs: installed a power attic fan, installed ceiling fans, installed shower heads, installed light fixtures, repaired some sheetrock and some siding and flashing outside the house. It was nice to be able to have one person do it all.

My neighborhood has prescripted designs all fencing must adhere to. All Texas Fence was easy to deal with and reasonably priced. They completed the project on time and I'm still enjoying the fence nearly 6 years later.

When I purchased this home the majority of the windows had plantation shutters. Since I wasn't sure which company supplied them, I used the local Home Depot. Dallas Shutters completed the job several years ago and I know these have a lifetime warranty. I'm going to have to make good on that guarantee because I've got some splits and other issues. The existing plantation shutters do not have these problems.

I have a large Burr Oak that was sickly. P&B injected it and it's a healthy, happy tree now. They also trimmed up my other oaks. They did a terrific job.

This is another job through Home Depot. I'm still not certain it was worth the price I paid but it did spruce the kitchen up. My kitchen is rather large (23 doors, 15 drawer fronts). I did have problems with the quality of some of the doors - you just have to call them and report them. It's been 6 months now and I have to call back and let them know some doors are warped.

I didn't know that Home Depot provided landscape design services but I'm glad I found out. After 2 other companies failed to LISTEN to my wants/needs, Home Depot sent Kathleen out. In 3 hours time I had a design and a supply list that I could choose to either implement myself or contract out. I love my azaleas - gazing out my office window is not longer an ugly jungle

Turns out there's a minimum $75 "dispatch fee" that is not mentioned anywhere on his website. It can't cost $75 to dispatch a guy with an ancient Ford Ranger(?) either. It would've been cheaper to have had Lowe's install it. This fee wasn't mentioned to me when I *thought* I had a related leak a few months later. That whopping 10 min. trip cost me an additional $75 (and this was the third time using his services). Despite expressing my intense displeasure of feeling ripped off by the last trip - he stuck with the price. It was the last time I used him and will not use him again. http://www.mrfix-it.org/

Tell the customer there's a MINIMUM charge - if I'd known I'd have had other "chores" around the house performed. The first time I used his service I got a broad estimate. I get the feeling he doesn't want to quote prices - so be prepared for sticker shock

If you can't get a fairly accurate price estimate, there's probably a good reason. Ask if there's a minimum charge as well.
