This company contacted me about 6.30pm via kijiji after I posted a need for a mover. We agreed on a price per hour and they wanted a deposit. I agreed and he had me, while on the phone, do a e-transfer to his account. Later that night at 9.45, he called to offer a fixed price for the move but wanted full payment up front. I balked and asked him for references and proof of insurance. He provided two people to call, who were both pleased, but could not provide any insurance. I told him that his lack of visibility and public identity made me wary and I had decided to use another mover. I asked for my deposit back and he texted to say it was non refundable. I would not recommend his business practices.
