Whiteshark did great work on a complicated exterior job - mouldy porch ceiling, peeling wood shingles, painting part of a deck (as the other half had just been rebuilt), sanding/resurfacing and painting handrails and pickets. The price was the best and I appreciated the way the crew, with Tony in the lead, brought a pleasant, problem solving and accommodating approach to the complications. They did the same work 7-8 years ago and it lasted very well. For more than 15 years we've used their services annually for window and eaves cleaning - the jobs are consistently well done.

The Barcelona chair and ottoman were to be redone with new leather belt straps and leather upholstery on the cushions. Within 5 months of getting the chair and ottoman the straps fell apart. Instead of being belt leather they were made of two strips glued together. In places they were just pieced in little bits. I was charged for belt leather but two other upholsterers have confirmed this is not belt leather. (see photos- the red shows where the pieces are coming unglued and where little bits have been glued together) The cushions were to have leather upholstery but were upholstered with a different coloured canvas material on the side of one of the cushions and on the underside - not the leather which the originals had and done without explanation or consultation. (see photo - the pinkish material is not leather) The project was to take 6-8 weeks - it took 17 weeks from the time of my first deposit which was $200 just to meet with Lisa Jo and "get in line." I contacted Lisa Jo in early November, 2018, about the straps falling apart - she was not willing to address the issues until the new year as she was too busy with other projects. I will not be going back.
