I purchased 2 leather counter stools and was told to pick them January 3rd and that if I could not to phone them. I even called their 1-800 customer care number to confirm the date as I wondered about any confusion over the holidays, that was on Dec 31st that I called and they confirmed it would be there Jan 3. When I got there a snotty sales girl says in a snotty way...well did anyone phone you to say they were in? I told her no one ever told me that someone was supposed to call me only that I should phone if I could not come. Her next snotty reply was that, that is their store procedure/policy. I asked her how was I supposed to know that if no one told me that, I was only told what day to come. She said their deliveries are on Friday not on Tuesday. How was I supposed to know that when they told me to come on a Tuesday and when I had phoned to confirm that it was on a Tuesday? It was a particulary treacherous drive down there as the streets were frozen after a lot of snow and a temperature drop during rush hour and I was subjected to this incredibly bad attitude on the clerk's part. I don't usually like to complain but honestly, the clerk is wrong as well as the clerk at the 1-855-415-9227 number? Coupled with bad attitude?

Although the work was ok in the end, the customer service was appalling. They installed new gutters, leafguards, and downpipes. Their pricing was a little higher than the other quotes but I liked the product they had so I went with them. They arrived on time were courteous and friendly, the job appeared to be well done, and they left the place clean and tidy. Unfortunately the dayafter the installation I noticed a leak. I emailed the company, but there was no reply. A week later, an invoice arrived for work completed, to which I replied with a video showing the leak and asking them to come and fix it as the work was not complete until the gutters were functioning properly. No reply. I contacted them again and finally they said they would come out that week, but they were a no show. I called saying no one came and they wanted to know how I knew since it hadn't rained. I explained that I hosed the roof and found that the gutter was still leaking and that I would not be paying the bill until the gutters were fully functional. They said since I had a ten year warranty I should feel ok about paying. I explained that paying them would be akin to saying it was ok to be shuffled to the back of the line. Then they said that by law I was obliged to pay 90% as the job was 90% complete and that I could withhold 10% as it was only 10% incomplete. I ended the conversation saying that I was not paying until the gutters were fully functional and that the warranty should be for problems that arise afterwards, not to fix a faulty installation. Their contract states clearly that payment is due upon completion, not per percentage complete. They made a simple one day job into something stressful that stretched into 3 weeks, I would not wish them on my worst enemy.

This is not the standard to which we are working toward and certainly not our policy to demand payment prior to attaining customer satisfaction. As the owner of Precision Gutters I will personally be looking into the actions of those involved in order to improve the way in which we handled your situation. I have used them a couple of times for gutter cleaning. They always call before arrival, and are always courteous. Prices are reasonable, and they do a good job. They blew the leaves off the roof and cleaned the gutters.

They were a little delayed in getting started but once they arrived, the workers kept the place tidy and did not damage the garden shrubs. They were responsive to all questions and did an outstanding job. I can say this with confidence as their fabulous workmanship was further confirmed by the independant roofing inspector as well as my neighbour who was adding a second story to their house just two doors away and were in a unique position to monitor all the work being done. The price quoted was a little higher than others but the gauge of the the metal was also heavier than the others. They belong to the Roofing Contractors Association of BC so that I was confident that the work would be done properly according to proper roofing standards. I would not hesitate to recommend them to friends and family.

Overall Westmount Heating did an excellent job. I had purchased an already renovated house and wanted to install a HRV, which made for an awkward installation as the ceiling had to be opened up and ductwork installed around wiring. Most companies were only interested in doing new construction and were not willing to do a retrofit like this. They took care to limit the mess that entailed, were able to accommodate my work schedule and do the installation on a Saturday. They were courteous, proffessional and cleaned up after themselves. They also went out of their way to secure the HRV I was looking for. I would not hesitate to use them again
