When we bought our house, it had a furnace that was almost 30 years old. Synergy was recommended to us to service it by a neighbour. Synergy came when the said they would, did the work quickly and well, and explained what they'd done, along with recommendations for the future. They said the furnace would need to be replaced at some point, but that they could nurse it along until a part broke that couldn't be replaced because it was not longer manufactured. About a year later, we decided to replace the furnace with a top-of-the-line heat pump. Synergy gave us a good competitive quote, based on the research we had already done, then worked with us to make sure we got just the right equipment, and installed it. Ours is an old house the original part was built in 1885 and there were problems fitting the equipment, making the appropriate connections outdoors, and making it all look neat and tidy. It took them several days, but it looks great and we have had no problems. They were there with us through the entire process, explaining our choices and the implications, making suggestions about how to make it all work better and be as cost-effective as possible, then doing a great, professional installation job. We have no hesitation in recommending them for HVAC work.

It took Alons about 10 minutes to analyze the problems with both garage doors, then about two hours to fix them both. He also reprogrammed both automatic door clickers, made suggestions about how best to maintain the doors, and recommendations about what we might do, long-term, to prolong the useful life of the doors. He was personable, pleasant, and professional throughout. We were delighted with the service!

Roman responded to our initial query promptly, scheduled a visit for the next working day, and arrived when he said he would. He checked a number of possible causes of the leaky washing machine, found the problem as a hose with a hole that had been worn in it, probably by vibration. The replacement part would have cost $135, and was backlogged for three weeks, so he fixed the problem with glue, re-arranged the hose so it wouldn't rub where it had, and closed it up – all fixed! Fast, clean, friendly. He did the job for us, and said he guaranteed the fix for 90 days.

We had some demolition debris from a old, rotting, outdoor bar. Ridofittoronto were quick to reply to our request, came within two days, called before they arrived, came when they said they would, and picked up everything we asked them to take away. They were friendly and helpful, and helped us keep the charges down. We wouldn't hesitate to use their services again.

We needed three windows replaced because their seals had broken down, causing both loss of insulation, and ugly stains between the panes that we couldn't clean. We spoke with four different contractors about this. One, whom we have used for other work, quoted us a price that was more than 50% higher than we eventually paid, said the windows would have to come from Germany, and that it could take months. A second said we'd have to tear out the entire window structure, that merely replacing the sealed window units would not work. They wanted substantially more than we were willing to pay to do so. A third didn't bother to reply after their initial inquiry, but then did so very late in the process with a quote we felt was unrealistically low, probably in a low-ball bid. Fortress replied promptly, gave us the information we wanted online, came promptly to inspect the windows and give us a written, reasonable quote, sourced the windows locally, and had the job specked & finished within 3 weeks. Steve & Richard were pleasant, even funny, but worked quickly with a minimum of fuss, both during their initial – painstaking – inspection, and during their quick and clean installation. They also replaced a broken window lock for only the cost of the part required – no labour charge. We are delighted with the results, and would not hesitate to make use of them again when we need windows!
