We had an existing deck from a renovation we did back in 2003. Although the deck was still in usable condition we had future plans for social gatherings in the spring and summer months of 2019 and wanted a custom design deck with a gazebo for our guests to enjoy. Although my husband is a DIY guy, timing was of the essence as we were bogged down by the daily stresses of work and family life, and winter was fast approaching. We were in contact with a few other companies to get an idea or a estimate for having this type of work done. We felt that Jon and Pat of wayland were a good fit for us because their price was comparable to other companies and they provided better terms such as no deposits to begin and supply materials and a flexible payment structure. When the project began, they removed the old deck boards and the existing railing to expose the frame of the deck where it became evident that the existing beams were not installed with enough support. These guys added additional reinforcement to the frame before commencing to continue the project. Despite delays caused by weather Jon and Pat were consistent in finishing the work.
