Our older home has a disused chimney that we wanted lowered and capped off. I was searching for a masonry contractor on HomeStars and found Red Robin – I’m glad I did. I requested a quote via the submission feature on the company’s website and heard back from Anna at the office almost right away (always an encouraging sign). I e-mailed Anna a few photos of the project and later that same day heard back from John at the company with an estimate. It looked good and we booked in the job for the following week. Head mason Paul and his assistant arrived at the appointed time and were extremely professional throughout. Paul also replaced some deteriorated bricks on the side of the chimney using bricks reclaimed from the demolished portion of the chimney – hence the repairs blend in perfectly. Communication throughout the project was excellent and the work is top notch. We will definitely contact Red Robin for any future masonry projects.

We've used Pesticon every time we've had an insect problem in our house or garage and they're always the people we call. In this instance, we noticed a rather unfortunate infestation of cluster flies in our unfinished basement. We've learned from experience that insect sprays available to the general public don't work so we called the professionals right away. Serge and All County Aluminum did a great job on replacing the siding on our house and garage back in 2011. Then, a few weeks ago, a different contractor doing some paving work in our laneway accidentally made a hole in the side of our garage. Oh dear. We e-mailed Serge and he was so helpful and accommodating in scheduling the repair for us -- even though this was a smaller project. The repair is complete now and everything looks like new. We would always use All County Aluminum for all our siding and aluminum needs. Serge is a pleasure to deal with and we recommend his company without hesitation.

We worked with Steven on the redesign of our kitchen in our older home. The project also involved moving some walls and creating a downstairs bathroom. Steven was very good at coming up with design solutions that make best use of the space available. He also had a very good sense of the technical issues involved in making changes to an older property and worked with his own structural engineer where needed. The permit drawings were very detailed and captured the design we wanted. Steven handled the whole process of applying for the City of Toronto building permit, which was issued very quickly and without difficulty. We’re now ready to meet with contractors and obtain quotes. Steven’s professionalism and customer service has made it very easy to bring the project this far and we’d definitely work with him again if we were planning a future construction or renovation project.

I called Solutions Electrical because we were looking to have a two exterior GFCI outlets installed on our house. Tony at the company was very knowledgeable and quoted a reasonable price. After looking at some photos of our electrical panel, he also recommended a surge protector, which we added to the job. The work was done on a Saturday morning, which was very convenient as I didn’t have to take time off work. The two electricians were very good and the project was completed in a couple of hours. We were very pleased with how the project turned out and will definitely call Solutions again next time we need some electrical work doing on the house.

The project went very smoothly from start to finish. We selected modern composite materials for the new veranda, which look great and will provide years of maintenance-free service. Miro and Steve were great to deal with and the quality of the work is top-notch. I would definitely hire Royal Decks for other projects.

This was a big project and working with Serge and his team was seamless from start to finish. We were able to choose from a wide selection of siding styles and Serge also provided some good options for the window and door selections. The job was completed on time and on budget and the work was to a very high standard. Everything was left spic and span at the end of the project. We would certainly use All County again and I would recommend them without hesitation.
