Cathy Brangham in Quebec

I have been putting together my home in Quebec. We are in the final process of some vast renovations and today I decided to go out and find some interiors for the house, and stumbled upon this great furniture store. First of all, it's absolutely beautiful inside - a very well kept/clean store (A++). Secondly, their employees are well groomed, and well mannered. Initially, when I walked in, I did not have the intention to purchase any furniture... I was mainly looking for decorative items. Normally, when I furniture shop, my husband and I do it together but I could not resist the gorgeous suede couch that I laid my eyes upon after about 20 minutes of looking around. The couch came in a set (couch, love seat, ottoman) and it was marked down!!!!! My daughter bought me a new smartphone for Christmas with photo capabilities - thank goodness I read the entire instruction book. I took pictures, sent them to my husband, and he liked them. I was also very impressed with how knowledgeable all the employees were, about the couches, their wear, etc. Of course, I ended up purchasing the couches but they won't be delivered until next week, which gives up plenty of time to figure out what to do with the ones that we have in the living area. In the next few months my husband and I will be looking for a new bed, Galerie Du Meuble will be the first place we look!! Great store!

If a few of you have read my two other reviews, my family and I are just finishing up renovating our Quebec home. My daughter and I decided it was time to spend money on new decorative items for the house - I love designing interiors and so does she, so off we went. We arrived at Artis Factum and were just BLOWN AWAY! First of all, the customer service was great! We were greeted upon entering the store and immediately asked if there was anything that we needed or help finding. I was looking for new drapes for 2 of the upstairs rooms, pillows, and random things (pillars, decorative wall art, candle holders, vases, etc). I found some great stuff here and the prices were VERY reasonable. With every interior decorating store there are always those incredibly expensive items and at Artis Factum this was evident - however, they were BEAUTIFUL (way out of my price range but SO BEAUTIFUL!! I ended up purchasing 2 sets of drapes, 10 decorative pillows, and 3 vases! I love every item I have purchased. I'm sitting in the room that I am about to decorate and I am so thrilled! I will definitely be back to Artis Factum for more items (I saw more, but couldn't justify purchasing all of it at the same time) - the customer service was great and their inventory was awesome!

Been doing some house renovations to our home in the last few weeks leading up to Christmas. My husband and I had contacted Plomberie Louis Amyot in regards to replacing out water heating unit and right off the bat it was great. I had called, and spoke to a VERY pleasant lady who spoke great english (I don't speak great French, however my husband does).. It was just really refreshing. She took our information down and it just so happened that one of their plumbers was in my area doing a service call.. So, she paged him, and asked him to show up to asses what we needed done (at this point my husband wasn't with me, and I am not handy AT ALL - this was really awesome). The young man showed up, and asses what needed to be done and gave me a quote - it took him about 20 minutes! The price was great, and reasonable. I had mentioned that I was leaving town the next day but that there would be ongoing renovations while I was gone. We quickly set up a time for them to come in while other renovations were going on, to replace our water heater and all others things that needed to be done in terms of plumbing. My husband and I managed to make it back in time for the plumber - as we needed to sign off on a few things before he began his work. A few hours later, he was done. VERY IMPRESSED. He was quick with his installation and VERY TIDY. NO MESS. Both, my husband and I were very pleased with his work and everything is functioning great! We have lots of hot water! Great company!! I am in the middle of renovating my Quebec City home (I live part-time between 3 cities), so it was imperative to me that I find a company that can complete projects/renovations in my house with little supervision and in a timely matter. My home in Quebec is old, but it has a lot of character, and I wanted to upgrade the inside because this forthcoming year I will be spending a lot more time in Quebec City, and I wanted my home to reflect a more modern-esque feel. This company was absolutely great. They had been working on my home for about 7 weeks and just finished before Christmas. My husband and I literally walked them through what needed to be done (We enlarged 3 rooms, reconfigured our bathroom and renovated the basement), showed them the plans for the renovations - they gave us a price quote and they went to work. My husband and I popped into the house about halfway through the renovation and were unbelievably pleased with the progress and the look of the interior of our house. I have a bit of a difficult time speaking French, but my husband is fluent - we both agreed that they are VERY professional and all the guys and girls (yes, I was pleased that there were a few young ladies working on this project) ere very hard workers!!!! I am writing this review from the house now - it looks and feels great! I couldn't be more pleased with the end product of this project! I recommend this company to anyone in the Quebec City area that is looking for a contracting company with poise, professional demeanor and great work ethic - Couvertures Jean Guerard are your people!
