10/10

We had been putting off re-siding after hail damage. I hate working with contractors – I always seem to get the short end of the stick. Zeke walked me through their process and had sensible questions about the house and our vision for it that no other potential contractor had asked. I liked what I saw on the BBB and the testimonials I read, so we chose BOSS. They installed James Hardie products on our big 1960s split level. The old house isn’t very square, and has many bay and bow windows, so it was a complex application. BOSS did a great job – the house looks beautiful. It did take several months to get to the top of their wait list (which was reassuring in itself), but it was worth the wait. There was a lot of extra work needed that the crew did for us – from cutting back an overgrown hedge that was blocking access, to replacing a broken eavestrough and fixing a hole in the soffit that birds had nested in. I really felt cared for through the whole job. There had been no house wrap under the 1980s vinyl, so now with that plus the caulking and joint flashing that are part of the JH process, the house is noticeably quieter inside. I don’t know if that will translate to savings this winter, but it already makes the house a nicer place to be. Working with BOSS has been a best ever experience. They weren’t the cheapest quote, but I have no doubt we got the best job possible.
