I am running a small construction business and I got hired by Vince ( owner of the company) to do some work at one of his projects. After the job was completed (both Vince and the client were happy with the job) he kept delaying the payment date and barely answering the text messages. It’s been already 3 months and I still didn’t get payed. Vince just disappeared, no answers at all on the phone, texts messages, voice mail and email. I went to the office address posted on his official website and guess what? there is a barber shop. Doing some online research about him and his company I realized I am not the only one getting screwed up and that his name is linked to more company names. I see a lot of good reviews as well. Maybe they are really happy clients; maybe they are just his friends writing these reviews, who knows?. But me and definitely the lady (on CBC News) were screwed up by him.
