Almost a year ago I had KNT Rewired my house. They added 2 light fixtures to the first floor. I am not someone who enjoys decorating so a year almost went by before I called them and asked if they would install the lights. I am amazed to report they came the same day, on a Saturday no less, and had the fixtures installed in an hour. Truly a Christmas miracle! Thanks so much Tim (I put a value on this but the company actually included the service as part of the original contract) wouldn’t work otherwise

The work is exceptional and the staff really do try to do everything in their power to provide excellent customer service. I had a problem, which is that some fabric panels were lost in the mail and Lisa and her staff did try to provide solutions to a tricky situation. The thing I would like to mention is that Lisa was trying to be accommodating by offering to mail part of the work by mail so that I would not have to make an extra trip to her office. Ultimately, and oddly, the package arrived at my door with no postage stamp. I am grateful that they arrived and sorry to have pestered Lisa and her staff. Other than the post office problem, this was an excellent company to deal with.

This summer I had a run of bad luck with renovations which I think qualifies me to recognize a great company when I am lucky enough to find them. KNT rewired my entire three storey, 100 year old house. It is a lengthy, dusty job and the people who worked on my house were amazing. They took every precaution to keep the house as clean as possible and they were respectful of my opinion when we discussed positioning of outlets and switches. Without asking, they provided me with a circuit map. In addition, the team’s integrity was above reproach in that they did not make work by re-wiring anything that wasn’t necessary. In a house of this vintage and size some wiring will be “new”. They were scrupulously honest about what needed to be re-wired and what was okay to leave as is. Special thanks to Danny for his patience!

I bought a gas fireplace 9 years ago from Marsh’s. I had a concern with what I thought were fumes from glue used on the mantle. Even though I was no longer in the system, Alan came out to my house within hours of calling to check my fireplace personally. This is just incredible customer service. I can say with absolute certainty that this is a company that you want to deal with. I have never had such exceptional service. He even took me to the side of the house to check the venting.

Never pay Steve by the hour! Actual work activity: Monday 8:00 to 11:00 (2 hrs) worked then gone until 11:40 Back until 12:05 (25 minutes) then Steve left at 12:10 to 12:42 12:42-2:05 (1 1/2 hours) then at 2:24 Steve went to get “cement”. By 3:00 they were finished because they “ran out of tile”. See photo of bucket of a large bucket of cement was left to harden in the hall. Charged for 6 1/2 hours, worked 4 1/2 Next morning came by to pick up tools for another job, I mean drywall (sure), patched a tiny bit of the wall and left. The company installing glass had a good laugh at Steve’s “hard work”. I would have said he ultimately does good work but see the attention to detail below! The hole by the rad goes down to the sub floor!

We had galvanized pipes in the third floor bathroom. Calvin replaced them all. In addition he removed and re-installed the rad so that marble flooring could be put down. He also did the plumbing for a new shower and moved the bathroom sink location. He was conscientious and reasonably priced and a pleasure to deal with - which cannot be said of all the workmen that I dealt with during this project!

I am revising my review because Tim recommended Steve as a tiler. Please see the hole left by the rad pipes below. I thought that when the rad was re-installed this would be resolved, but no. Tim should stand behind his recommendation.

Working with Rey was the best renovation experience that I ever had. Working off of a cover of a magazine Rey created my dream kitchen at a reasonable price. He later repurposed a wine rack. It was a finicky job, but he never complained about the time it took. I've loved my kitchen for years. Thanks Rey! The photo doesn't do it justice!

Last year I had this company come and trim trees in the backyard. Also some cedars needed to be wired so that they wouldn't rub against the garage. When the wiring came loose, they came immediately and rewired the corner tree, which could have come loose from raccoons, at no charge. When an ornamental cherry tree started to look unwell, they came by quickly and addressed the problem. Great company.

Called this company early in the season and asked them to open the pool early specifically in order to have enough time to sort out a leaking pool pump area. The people who showed up were late, rude and didn't do their job. The pool equipment was never assembled or it was done improperly. How do I know? I had to call a second company. This is what we found: the o ring for the solar heating was not in place - we found it on the ground. The system hadn't been turned on, the anti-freeze was still clearly sitting in the pump. The lid to the chlorinator wasn't on properly and two gear clamps to the chlorinator had not been tightened. This despite the fact that the company recommended that I get a new sand filter for $812 ( that's with a "10%" discount) I got a quote of $620 from someone else without a discount. How could they make a recommendation when they didn't even take a look at my equipment? Terrible experience.

When Lenni showed up, he seemed great. But when he actually did the work ... Not good. Before he started I made it clear that I was concerned about dripping pipes. I even asked if I should purchase drip trays. He texted me "my plumbing doesn't leak so no worries" Sure ... Leaked after he left. Leaked for a week before his wife came to repair the pipes. Leaked after she left because she accidentally loosened the screws at the bottom of the pump. Leaked for another week until I got down on my hands and knees with towels and figured out the problem. When I spoke to Lenni he told me, proudly, that I wasn't charged for the second visit. Mmmmm if it worked the first time there would not have been a second visit! I am leaving out a lot. Anyway, I am 56. Don't want to be on my hands and knees repairing the pool guys work. Pool pipes still leaking ... And not the solar pipes Lenni refused to fix!!! Ultimately very disappointing experience and Lenni must think I am stupid for expecting me to be thankful that he came back to fix a poorly executed job. Really?

Dawn has posted several negative facts and we've tried to reach out to her but no responce.

She's claimed her neighbours over heard me speaking to someone on the phone stating I want to go home at 3pm when we're usually done work at sundown, I've never finished work at 3pm, my day still has 6 hours to go and several more pools to repair.

The previous pool company who closed her pool left everything in pieces whom she wrote a glowing review for, then this season when the pool company tried to open her pool and could cause it was missing several pieces such as Orings for her solar system, drain plugs for her pool pump and gear clamps for her sand filters plumbing, they couldn't finish the job and left to reschuled but instantly got a bad review from her here on homestars. I later checked with the pool company who opened her pool, we know also does hard work and she instantly bashed them online because she doesn't understand how a pool works.

We went down to change her 25+ year old sand filter for a new one she bought from another supplier. Once I had the new plumbing installed and double checked that there were no leak, her husband helped me lift the old sand filter into the back of my truck. We discussed a few things and I noticed their solar system was dripping down from the roof. He looks up while Dawn is now beside us and states yes that's a repair he did a few years ago and Dawn asked if I could fix it. I told them NO. I don't work on solar systems because I DONT have my "working at heights" certificate and training which is required by Ontario Labour Laws. Dawn then proceeds to asked me, can she grab her ladder and climb up to the second floor of the side of her house and she will fix it with my tools, again I said no, call a solar heating company, it's not a easy repair, so much for having to crawl around on her hands and knees.

A week later she emails stating our plumbing is leaking, I send Jodie down, it's not our plumbing but her solar system dripping still Jodie also notices her pump needs a few repairs that we would normally not do, due to the fact whom ever installed it, cross threaded the outlet port, fixed at no extra cost, after looking at the before and after pics we've taken, someone has been playing with our plumbing.

Dawn sends in new pics by email, weeks later, again claiming it's still leaking, but it is still her solar system and she refuses to answer our emails and text messages, so good luck Dawn and thanks for bashing our great reputation. and by the way, getting down on your hands and knees to fix a drain plug that Jodie kicked?

Highly unlikely cause you were there when she was working on your system watching over her shoulder, as you did mine.

Alex and Russel were great. I am really pleased with the end result. I am extremely picky and they not only provided 3D diagrams so I could look at the project and make corrections, they listened to all of my concerns and addressed them. For the work they did it was very reasonable!

Came immediately, gave me a great quote and the workers were great - that's you Mark. In under two hours from my initial call my messy driveway was cleared. My builders actually asked for their card, they're that good.

Mark was knowledgeable and recommended Peter when I asked for someone to remove the squeaks from my stairs. The installers were great guys and worked hard even though one of them was sick.

I had one cockroach. I called Pesticon and they were at my door the same day. When I thought I might have seen one more cockroach, Waheed Ahmed came out to my house to redo the service on his way out for his vacation. Extremely responsible and very pleasant. I would highly recommend this company. They didn't charge me anything for the follow up call. Sincerely, Dawn Dawson
