Contacted Amar after reading reviews here. He responded fairly quickly and was able to come and tend to the repair fairly timely. He came prepared to do the repair with parts, ensuring multiple trips were not necessary, and got the repair done fast. He shared good tips with our washer to help with longevity. Overall, I’d reach out to Amar for other repairs in the future. ** addition to this ** I have had the same washer error come up, and contacted Amar. He provided suggestions through text to assist. I appreciate this as it could possibly save a trip, and more importantly time and money.

With our furnace not turning on with the first chill of the year, at a recommendation from Duct Dudes I contacted Westmount Heating. They were able to come our quickly (3 days) and accommodate my scheduled day off. Merj (spelling?) was able to identify the issue quickly, get the part and return not to long after and repair the furnace. Subsequent to this, the furnace was not working again (due to no fault of the repair, it was a separate issue). This was a few days ago when the temperature was dropping and today it was -8! Suffice to say, with a couple calls Merj carved out some time and came very quickly to attend to the furnace. It is working with his repair to the new part, and we can't say how happy we are that he was able to get us much needed heat! Thank you!!

First Review

I am writing this on the estimate process for Kymar, as I find that I would like to have reviews for me to look at to choose a strong, professional estimate that helps me choose a company. First, I called Kymar and had Kyle answer and tell me that he could be out within a few days, he arrived on a Sunday and called apprx. 45 minutes prior, this was much appreciated. On the phone initially he asked questions to assess some basic information, finding out that out home is 21 years old he said that they only would do a replacement and was I ok with this knowing that he would only give an estimate based on that. This was appreciated to know so that I could make an informed decision as to whether or not I would want to spend the time going through his estimate process. Kyle arrived when he said he would, and proceeded to ask my a few questions to understand my concerns and needs. He initially showed me some concerns he could view immediately, and what he would further look for when investigating our gutter system. After doing his measures and walk around, he informed me that later that day he would email me an estimate, which I did receive. I was impressed with his professionalism for the most part, however he did seem hurried at the end and I had a couple questions that he answered quickly as it seemed he was a little rushed to move on. We will be making a decision as to the company we will be using, and if we choose Kymar I will be sure to follow up with a review for their services performed.

Hello Eric,
First of all, I would like to thank you for this opportunity to address your concern, since otherwise I would not be aware of.
You mention that I seemed to be in a hurry, and I apologize if I've given you that impression. It is true that I still had probably six or seven more estimates that day to visit and measure, after leaving your house. And it is also true that I am very goal-oriented, and focused on the task at hand, but sometimes I get carried away. I would be very happy to answer any questions that you might still have, or offer you references of other homeowners that have hired Kymar Gutter Inc in the past.
I understand that hiring a contractor or trades might feel like it requires a leap of faith, because all of the stories we hear about renos going wrong. But you are doing your homework and thus eliminating the possibility of surprises, which is a good advice to any homeowner in this situation.
Once again, thank you for taking the time to send this review.

Now, I would like to share a preliminary-type review, one that is about the estimate process. I find this a part of the process that I don't see many reviews on, and I am always looking for as it helps me determine the company that will receive my business. Terry from Gutter Doctor came down to look at our gutters, which are in need of either repair or replacement, this I am not sure of. She took the time to ask me questions to understand my concerns and what I would like to know and see addressed. At this point she did a detailed measuring and investigation of our gutter system and then spoke with me about what she had. I was impressed that I was given three options, which appeared to address the concerns I had, and also gave strong options for my wife and I to discuss and choose from. Based on this, I am impressed with the time she took, and the professionalism of the estimate. We have not decided if we are going to utilize their service, however her professionalism is a a factor and a positive one at that for our consideration. If we choose to use them, I will be sure to write a review on the work that was done.

This is the second time Jason has done work for us, and like the first time, today's service was impeccable. He works so thoroughly and quickly, he explains his work and it is clear he knows what he is doing. He helped with our furnace repair, and was honest to tell me it was only a thermostat issue which I could easily purchase and replace myself. We will continue to hire (and refer) Jason to do our work as he demonstrates a strong sense of integrity, and that is very important to us.

Jason (owner/operator) of Duct Dudes was referred by my father-in-law to us, which meant this guy is good. So, because we were very due to get all of our air ducts and heating system cleaned, I gave the company a call. Our experience started on the phone, Jason was professional, polite and cheerful. He happily booked and accommodated my schedule. He arrived at the house at the time and date of the appointment and got right to work. First, he did a little education (as many home owners can be, I don't know the in's and out's of my home's workings quite as well as perhaps I should). He looked at our furnace and hot water heater and gave, what I believe was, an honest assessment. Instead of trying to sell anything unneeded or unwanted, he happily told us we have a furnace in great shape and with good care should last many, many years to come. After this little session, he got to work on the cleaning of the ducts. He did this quickly and efficiently; Jason obviously takes pride in his work. While he was doing the work, he continued to make comments to educate me both on our home's heating system as well on the process of what he was doing; this I appreciated very much. He took care of the dryer vents as well (one was really bad and evidently in dire need of cleaning!) Jason finished up, cleaned up quickly and was done the job after doing the rest of the checks and cleaning of the furnace. Clearly, Jason is young and motivated, he behaves in a professional manner, and treated his customer with respect, something that doesn't happen as often as we would like these days. I find myself cynical and skeptical, and perhaps a bit jaded by some experiences I have had and heard about when it comes to those who work on people's homes, Jason is one of the good guys!! If you need work, give him a call, he's worth having in your home to help you out! Thanks Jason!
