We hired Tornado Plumbing to replace the sanity drains (inside & outside), relocate a running trap, and upgrade the water line to 3/4". The scope expanded slightly because they also had to dig outside in order to connect the new PVC pipe to the backwater valve (unfortunately the company that installed the valve did not bring PVC pipe close to the wall) -- this was not a surprise as we were warned by all 3 companies that provided quotes that it was a possibility. I used the opportunity to also have that section of the exterior foundation waterproofed for a small extra cost. I cannot stress enough how highly I recommend these guys. Ardi, Peter and Serhiy are extremely professional and hard working. They had to dig 11' (!) to reach the City connection. Although the project lasted over a week, they repeatedly made temporary connections to ensure minimal interruptions to sanitary and water service. We did not have to leave the house at all. Ardi worked until past 10pm on the last day to remove excess soil and complete the yard cleanup. It's unbelievable how well the basement and the grass was cleaned after being like a war zone!

Half of the house was always cold in the winter and too warm in the summer while the rest was too warm/cool. We had some of the ducts replaced when we bought the house but it didn't make much of a difference. With the basement now fully gutted, we wanted to improve airflow and tidy up the ductwork for drywalling. We also wanted to reconfigure the gas line, install a manifold, and replace the water heater with a tankless. Davesducts was the only company that offered a solution to the airflow issue. Dave spent a lot of time patiently on the phone discussing options and answering questions. He connected me with an awesome designer, Lynda from BEC HVAC Design. Lynda pointed out serious issues with the ductwork and redesigned it. Daveducts did the installation to spec. Problem solved! The whole house now cools at the same time and the AC is able to drop the temperature quickly and keep it low w/out working non-stop. Not to mention how tidy and tight everything looks! When I called for payment, I mentioned that there were a couple of minor issues that were not 100% to my satisfaction but they could wait until they install the tankless water heater. Dave refused payment. He sent a technician the very next day to make adjustments. Brendan & Jeff are very professional and honest. Called before arrival, arrived on time. Jeff looked at the furnace and advised against replacing it at this point. But he pointed out that the AC coil installation was wrong and restricted the furnace airflow. He also upgraded the thermostat wire so that the thermostat can also control the humidifier. The new tankless (Navien NPE-240A2) is awesome and the installation is a piece of art!

I'm so glad I've found SRS. My project was small: Block off a couple of basement windows, parging and a few masonry repairs. But there are always challenges with old houses. Today blocks are smaller, and one of the windows was under the deck. Adam and team impressed with their professionalism, attention to detail, problem solving, going the extra mile to do it right and ensuring it looks good from both inside and outside. I will definitely use them again.

I hire Templar to remove the vinyl flooring from my basement because it tested positive for asbestos. I was very happy with the whole experience from the time I contacted Robert to removal and follow up with the lab air sample analysis. They were very professional, in time, efficient and neat. Highly recommended.

Mega City Roofing replaced my roof in 2014. A couple of weeks ago (almost 5 years later) I noticed a leak along the chimney under the soffits. I e-mailed Tom over the weekend who responded right away and showed up on Tuesday as promised to check it out. It turned out the caulking was worn out in some corner in the flashing. He replaced all the caulking and even inspected the 2nd chimney, no charge. That's what I call great customer service!
