Head downstairs to watch a movie and step onto a big, wet, soggy carpet. Worst basement nightmare. DrainWorks was my first call, William was quick with advice and Armando arrived on Monday to walk me through the process and today, I have new pipes, new drains and peace of mind. Everything was explained in great detail - I saw the clogged, tree root filled clay pipes and then the white, clean new PVC pipes two days later. Basement and driveway now spotless. Thanks to all.

Mike was fantastic. I was not home for 2 months of the renovation in our basement but trusted every single person that came through out house. Mike works with some very fine associates. There was not one issue, not one call back and the only one making changes was me! I am looking forward to our next project together.

I always use HomeStars for any work on my home and of course, I didn't go wrong yet again. North Shore was amazing. I got an estimate right away and then got a call a few days later to schedule the job. The guys were polite and clean. They had to go on my neighbours house to access some of my eaves and were respectful knowing it was someone elses property. And they wouldn't even let me buy them coffee!!! Such nice boys.

Once again Belyea to the rescue. I had my water heater break down and leak all over my basement. Joe came by promptly and had a new one installed that afternoon even though he had trucks out and there was an impending snow storm. I said that I could wait a day if I had to but he managed to get it done that day. Wish I knew about them ages ago as I have had terrible furnace trouble and they finally fixed and perfected my furnace after my other company blamed me for the problem. Love them.

I had a broken washing machine the day my son came home from a hockey tournament in which is slept in a creepy, dirty motel. I was frantic to get his clothes washed. Called a number of repair services and Pro called back promptly. While Matthew was working on the washing machine (lose wire, most would have repaired the whole thing, he found and replaced just the wire) I mentioned the dishwasher door. He ordered a part and was back a week later to install. Very, very happy.

I just hate having anyone in my home as you just don't know if things are left better or worse than when they came but Deo was fantastic. So polite and explained everything even though I was asking so many questions. He noticed a problem with the fan and fixed it. This is after I called another company repeatedly who never did anything. Great company.

I emailed Valentin one night and he got back to me right away. Amazing. I was great to meet a kind and friendly man when you just never know who is going to show up at your house. He fixed my toilet and put new taps in the laundry room. Such a gentleman and he did a great job. Everything written here is true!

I called this morning regarding my basement carpet and am stain free at 12:32. Luckily the boys were in the neighbourhood so they popped by right away. My dehumidifier had leaked lubricant on the carpet and I was concerned that the smell wasn't great for my kids. After 15 minutes, the carpet was cleaned. But this is not why I love this company. Adel and Matthew were meticulous and spot clean. I have had other carpet cleaners in before and was more worried about the mess they left behind and what was spewing out of their machines. Not a concern here. I have finally found someone who treats my house like I do. Much recommended.

I always use Mr. Rooter. Every single time I have someone come to the house who is prompt (fast!), clean, knows exactly what he is doing and very friendly. This time, it was John Dima who fixed my clogged sink, gave me a fantastic tip at the end to help me not have this problem again and left the kitchen cleaner than it was before he came. John was great.

Everything Mike Holmes says to have in a renovator is satisfied by JK&B. Their workmanship is great, you can completely trust the staff in your home and most importantly, this is an established company, not a fly by night contracting service.

Love Mr. Rooter. I only use them for every plumbing issue in my house. I have my own guy who I ask for every time and he now knows the whole family. They are definately a bit more expensive if you are used to paying a single guy cash under the table but you can never get that guy when you need him and do you really trust his work? I just love these guys and tell everyone I know to use them.

This company is average. The sales team is brutal. Worst I have ever encountered. Selection is fine but pricing can be all over the map. The installation teams are either totally brutal or just average. I have seen 3 jobs by them (including one for myself) and the results vary too much to trust. You can do a lot better in the way of carpets.

From Bill and Gord at the top to each painter, everyone is excellent. You can trust their quote, their employees and their final job. I have used them more than 4 times and have never encountered anything but a great job (and I hate having people working in my house)

These guys are fantastic. I use them for everything plumbing related and from the receptionist to the guys that come, great job. They are neat, well dressed and knowledgeable. Can't recommend these guys higher.

Used them for a new kitchen. They are average. Not great but not bad. Just average.

Great place to buy all sorts of prints and then frame with IKEA, your own framer or theirs. Love going in and looking through all the prints - cheap at $30 for a large living room size print.

The service at the Main Course is horrible. Their merchandise is great but priced higher than other stores which wouldn't be so bad because the store is lovely but the staff are some of the rudest women I have ever encountered.

Buyer beware. They sell the same carpet as everyone else but installation is not always great as they use subs. Very very difficult to get anything resolved if you are unhappy.

Great job. They took everything from my shed that was not longer needed. They are by no means students but the job was fine.

Couldn't stand the salespeople. They couldn't have cared less that I placed a large order with them and when I got the stove, it was dinted. I had a terrible time getting things fixed up and they never contacted me about it, they just put another company on it. Wouldn't go back ever.

We used them to do our driveway and were completely satisfied with every aspect. They do wait until they have a number of jobs booked in the neighbourhood before starting so there is a bit of a wait between booking the job and going ahead but wasn't longer than a few weeks. They tell you not to park for a number of days after paving to make the job as good as possible.

If you can find someone to help you, they can be helpful. Watch the return policy. You can do better price wise and for returns at Universal Lighting. I find the store too busy and spread out with intimidating salespeople.

We have used Baker for our first home and they were great and always easy to get a hold of. My mom used an inspector who broke a number of things in her house including her furnace. It was not Baker but recommended by her real estate agent so go with someone like Baker.

Brad is fantastic. Yes, hard to get a hold of but in a way, that's a good sign. He is a trustworthy, nice, pleasant man and does a great job. Keep trying to get him on the phone, it is so worth it.

Fantastic company. Denise in sales is the best and it's so nice to deal with a woman. Prince in the service department is now a part of the family after coming twice a year to maintain the furnace. Everyone is the company is professional, polite, trustworthy. I highly recommend them.
