I replaced windows in 4 houses (my house, my mother's house, and 2 rental properties) in the last 2 years using services of Alex from Eurotech. He is an awesome installer and always does a great job, on time - and on budget. His advice on whether to replace or repair the window or a door is indispensable, and quality of the windows he installs is superior at the very competitive price. Alex is a pleasure to deal with; he is associated with Eurotech but can be reached direct at 647-808-0934. I used different contractors for my rentals before but switched to Alex as quality vs promptness vs cost vs job outcome with him is far superior.

I used this company a few times and they helped me to detect and fix a broken sewer pipe in my home, for almost half less than another big plumbing company wanted to charge; they cleaned main drain in my rental property and did a full tele inspection of the system suggesting some longer term repairs in the future, and replaced two sewer back up valves in my house and my mother's house, which are supported by Toronto city rebates. Vitaly has been always prompt, explained the issues and offered different options to consider based on our timing and budget. Each job was done within one day, with professional crew of a few people, leaving the site clean and tidy. I would highly recommend this company services to anybody who has a problem with sewer and wants it fixed once and for all for a reasonable price.

I ordered a duct cleaning from Doctor Duct in August and was upsold from a basic 119 to ultimate 199 cleaning due to a small child in the house. Not sure how different the job would have been with the first option. The company did not confirm the job as I was told and as a result of mis communication we got moved from the morning to the afternoon which would have been fine if they actually came at 3pm promised. The guys arrived at 6:45pm when nobody excepted them already and proceeded with cleaning for almost 2 hours. In the process they said that our broken furnace was OK and that they repaired it, and our scheduled replacement was a mistake as it would live through the winter. In fact it did not live through they day as it dies in an hour once they left. They said in order to finish the sanitizing they needed to clean the blower and some other staff and charged 140 in addition to the 199 which almost doubled the price. They made a few comments how other companies were greedy and just were looking for quick bucks while they were interested in the customer's satisfaction. And at the end when leaving they asked for tips which would have been hilarious if not that late at night with a small baby who's whole day schedule got adjusted a few times as a result. We reluctantly paid the money but did not get the full service as promised and did get extra service we had to get in order to finish. Would never as them to come again as my place as I left feeling really uneasy after this job. The only nice person was Karen who works as a dispatcher and really tried to help us.

I met Justin from High Life at the fall Home Show in Toronto and got a very competitive pricing. Since I had been shopping for a while I was able to recognize models and compare the prices and recommendations from different providers. I was originally concerned with the rating on Home Stars and even called the office with this question. Apparently this is a very large company with many thousands of installations and hence some reviews which are not positive represent such a minor % that are rather an exception. I went ahead with ordering replacing of all mechanical including a water heater to a tankless version. Overall I am very pleased with my choice and please with the choice of the brand I went with - Carrier. I got very professional recommendations and advise on many aspects including the sizing of the gas pipe in our home where we use gas for many appliances, and a duct system overall. The job was big and required two crews but was still completed in one day. The crews were very professional and the job was done in an excellent manner. Guys came well prepared as Justin explained all the details to them as we discussed and as I wanted them. And it was scheduled on the day I preferred which was great. Throughout the process Justin was available to answer all my questions, and was patient to clarify all the details. I am very happy with the result as it was as hassle free as possible with complete re-gutting the mechanical in the house, and very happy with the customer service.
