We decided to get pot lights in our porch ceiling as we were having our aluminum redone, and we called Furena Electric at the last minute as we were in a time crunch. Paul arrived on time in a company van, but before we had fully discussed the job, he had smashed a hammer into the old wood ceiling and began taking out boards. After stopping him to discuss the work, we had him continue, and to be fair the lights work well and the end product looks good, but he appeared arrogant and unpleasant at the start. This waned a bit, but in the end I know I paid more than if I would have shopped around and was not impressed with his demeanor. For this reason I would not call him back.

Mark & Rod Fraser were recommended by a friend and from the start they were a cut above. They did a thorough review of their estimate prior to the work starting, offered design services at a reasonable cost, and stayed on budget save for some unforeseen plumbing issues. Their sub-trades were polite and professional and the end product was a stunning new bathroom that gets many compliments. The Frasers took pride in their work and treated us and our home with respect, and this professionalism has led us to hiring them for a full 3-story renovation of our home in 2012.

After visiting Olympia, I went to three other tile stores but their selection did not compare to Olympia. The store was huge and the selection was almost overwhelming, but things were well laid out and the store was bright. There were no lurking salespeople, and my contractor and I were able to peruse without sales pressure, although salespeople were around if needed.

Based on the recommendation of our contractor, we went to Tubs to select our higher end bathroom fixtures for our remodel. Dorothee was our knowledgeable sales rep and she was great, mixing and matching various brands to help us maximize the most of our budget. The store had a huge selection and there was no need to look anywhere else.

I called Pro-Master after the door spring suddenly broke as they advertised a standard price for this repair in the Yellow Pages. The repairman worked quickly and competently and was very good at upselling other items such as rollers. I was talked into more of a repair than I probably needed, and the items I was sold were marked up substantially from what they would cost at a home improvement store, I later learned, but the door works well and I would call this company again...although I would be more wary of the quick talking upsell.

We hired CBR after calling them to replace a few loose shingles and discovering that our previous roofer had not done a proper job. They removed our old shingles and put plywood on our entire roof before they reshingled. The quality of their work was very good and they kept a fairly neat work area. We felt that they were honest and presented options regarding various roofing products. We would not have a problem recommending them.

We hired Eri based on the recommendation of our roofer. He was easy to communicate with, the quality of his work was good, and his pricing seemed reasonable. He appeared to take pride in his work, although the project stretched on a bit longer than expected, and had some good suggestions during the project. All in all we would hire him again without hesitation.

We hired Haroutunian after receiving 2 other quotes as Wayne was easy to communicate with and reasonable with his pricing. The work was done as described on the quote and the quality was good. The work area was kept neat and there were no issues that would prevent us from using him again. A year later we called him to touch up a few areas which he did for no charge.
