No matter how many times I asked for "formal" gardens Ron Rule included wild grass and ferns among other things I wanted to get rid of. I finally drew what I wanted - formal exterior concrete staircase and balustrade and fountain in keeping with the classical design of the house with rose gardens and box hedges. He copied it and charged the $23,000 for my design.
