Long distance move from Ont. to Ab.

I’m glad they went out of business so they can’t take from any more people. If they shut this company down and reopened in a different name it wouldn’t surprise me. They lost so so many of our inherited family heirlooms I could cry even now years later. They refused to answer phone calls or acknowledge us and our dilemma in any way at all. They would hang up on us if we got through to them on a
different phone number. The absolute worst people I have ever dealt with. How do you loose a banquet table from

the late 1800’s unless it is sitting in an employees home or they sold it. We had 20 plus people around that table for many celebrations. My grandfathers scrap books.....gone, my fathers books.....gone, my moms China and China cabinet...gone.
Shame shame on you.

Move Toronto- Raleigh

WORST EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER HAD IN MY LIFE! They quoted me an amount of $1400 and then tried to tell me that the new amount would be $2600. They said that the weight of my items was 3,600 pounds when in fact it was only 1500 pounds. They wanted me to front an ADDITIONAL $300 to reweigh the items even though I had documentation that my items did not way that amount from a previous move. After countless hours wasted on the phone with them and after receiving BROKEN items nothing was resolved. This company is a complete joke and should be shut down immediately. DO NOT EVER USE THEM.

moving

Read the reviews and beware! Intial contact was good - good quote and timely response to email and phone calls. After we paid the deposit all downhill from here. Another company turned up early to move the furniture, additional charges were added, both companies wanted payment for same job, emails and phone calls not returned. Eventually furniture was on its way accross the border and with only two hours warning we were told that they couldn't deliver it to the address and that we would need to rent a van to come and pick it up from a parking lot off the Interstate! Had to rent a Uhaul at short notice and then 'deliver' it to the aparment ourselves. When it arrived boxes were damaged, totes split.

Long distance move

The other bad reviews are right! They should be out of business! They destroyed our furniture, a chair never came, and they charged us 2X more than the original quote! Boxes that said "Fragile" on arrived side ways, upside down, etc. On top of it, they can't speak the language, whether it's French or English, never mind spanish. I would highly discourage anyone that wants to deal with Multi city moving!! I should have listened to the other reviews!

moving

I will make this short, Not professional company or whoever they use to move things, beware and dont pay money in full unless they deliver all your belongings. worst of it all is that nobody seems to care to help you out once they got their money. BaD company to deal with, call them, email them or better yet go to their office and you probably wont get an answer. been more than a month now since they deliver most of our belongings from ontario to alberta and up to now I still have no update when and where the hell is the rest of our belongings. the sad part of it is that the amount of our belongings missing is probably not even more than a 1000$ and they are ok with it that people get bad experience with their moving company. I have documents signed by their movers that the remaining belongings will be delivered the following shipment, but wth am I thinking? why on earth do I pay them in full if they are missing some of my items. just please help me and spread the word, I am already telling all the people I know to stay away from this company. please, help yourself not to get to business with Muticity Moving. They are good at first until they get the money and you will be forgotten.

Moving from Toronto to Calgary

We selected this company based on price-point & initial customer service. We were given a delivery date & when our things didn't show up, had to hunt them down ourselves! When we called they said they didn't know where our things were or how long before they arrived!!! Next the girl on the phone had a melt-down about how bad I should be feeling about her having to deal with issues like this! Get your act together!!! NEVER use this company if you'd like your things to arrive on the other end of your move.

Company Response

Dear Michelle,

Thank you for your review.

As promised we have now given you 24 hour notice before your delivery which will be taking place tomorrow (March 17th, 2015), in the afternoon. This is the only time that we have confirmed a delivery date and time with yourself. We have also notified you of the exact location of our truck when you had requested this information.

Our receptionist did her absolute best in a difficult situation to be of as much help as possible.

Our driver will be contacting you 30 minutes before his arrival tomorrow for your delivery.

Any questions or concerns please give our office a call we would love to assist you further.

Thank you,

AMAZING - Moved from Toronto to Québec Small Town

Everyone takes the time to read reviews when the time comes to move with a moving company! So did I, 1 month ago when I decide to Move from Toronto (On) to Baie St-Paul (Small town northern of Québec city)

I saw some terrible reviews and some awesome one! I took the time to call and inquired with 10 different compagnies, NO JOKE! If I had listen to the reviews on this page about Multi City moving maybe I would of not gone with them ... but I decided to trust what was first: Talking with Nicole! Right away, the customer service was so amazing that, my heart told me to go for it ...

Nicole was there the whole time and was also very patient in all the questions I had (I also had a lot, almost everyday for over a week, hahaha) Then came the day of my move ... I had doubt, it was so much to trust a company with all your stuff!!!! Multi City moving respected the pick up time frame AND the drop off time... I was so impress :)

There was 3 amazing gentleman in Toronto and 2 that moved my stuff once they got here. All together, 1 plate didn't make the trip (Which was my fault for not wrapping it properly)! Can you believe it? 712 lbs of stuff and only one plate didn't make it?

I recommend Multi City moving and trust that they wouldn't disappoint you if you ever go with them! I do not hope to move soon again but will for sure get in touch with them if it happens again! You have more questions? Don't hesitate to send me an e-mail and I will gladly tell you more about how awesome they were: battayum84@hotmail.com

I guess we all have different experiences, but listen to mine .. as I don't believe they could do bad ... Multi City moving: To you Nicole and all 5 guys that moved me - THANK YOU!! :)

P.s. Take the time to buy your movers Coffee and Timbits, they seemed to appreciate it :)

Moving: ON - AB

Upon deciding to move to AB from ON I began to search online for quotes. Among the many moving companies able to move us, Multi city seemed the most committed, helpful and friendly at a great price! Myself, Fiance, My mother and my Fiance's mother all spoke to them and we were more than satisfied... until I gave my first deposit. Once the deposit was sent, contact was nearly nonexistent. They changed my pick up date last minute to two days later than scheduled and showed up 5 hours late.
The weeks following pick up - they would not return out calls, emails replied days later if at all. Finally, out of the blue we get a call from a random moving company from Edmonton informing us in broken English that they'd be dropping off our belongings the next morning.. not even 24 hours notice when I had been begging via phone call and email for an update on our belongings. I had to take the day off work.
The next morning, a man and a woman arrived at our home to drop off our belongings. We insisted on helping as there were only two of them and our belongings are not light...
Although the man was very rude, the move in went decent. Very convenient that at this time, while we were paying, Korissa, the receptionist was very friendly via phone.
Following the move in I began to rummage through our belongings so excited to find my clothes, shoes, boots, dresses, irreplaceable family heirlooms my Grandmother had given thinking it'd be her last opportunity, my fiance's home theater system my... to realize there were 38 boxes missing.
We were devastated.. Family heirlooms that I only had for a few weeks before moving out here GONE.
We contacted Multi city almost immediately and once again we were given the run around "Nicole is in a meeting" "There isn't anyone here for you to speak to" "Nicole has stepped out" for weeks they told us to be patient if they spoke to us at all. Today, My Fiane called and asked to speak to any supervisor around, Korissa was rude once he said who he was and said Nicole had stepped out. My Fiance said to Korissa that if no one can speak to him, we will see them in court and Korissa replied "okay" and hung up on him. Needless to say, our lawyer has been contacted and I hope everyone reads these reviews. Every single BAD review is true, and most are very similar to my experience. I honestly question whether the good reviews are FAKE....
