Stumpo Contracting

I was looking for a contractor that could remove the popcorn ceilings on my entire main floor, paint ceilings and add crown moulding. I found my contractor based on the reviews here on HomeStars and found Gino. He and his team did a great job, very happy with his professionalism and his team. He went over and beyond my expectation when it came to the quality of work - I was very pleased.

I was going to deduct a point because midway through the job I found out he wasn't including painting the ceilings, even though my initial email and texts had the exact details of what I wanted quoted on. So my opinion is spend the time to clarify the exact details of your job.

Gino gained the point back by working with my electrician who was doing potlights and Gino's team had to redo some of the areas on the ceiling again because of my electrician's errors. He also added to the job for me on the last day drywalling the top portion of my fireplace, which turned out amazing.

Gino is a great guy who really wants to do good quality work for you. I highly recommend him and have already passed his name to friends - which I don't do lightly.

Gino and his crew completed a whole house Reno for us. He completed the job on time and on budget without substituting the quality of his work. Gino completed two washrooms for us. Both were completely gutted and rebuilt. His workmanship and quality of work are flawless. He is honest and reliable. He was able to identify other issues during the Reno ie mold, fans not vented properly. Although this wasn't initially scoped in the original project he was able to resolve this problem and prevent it from happening in the future. Gino also installed hardwood, removed popcorn ceilings, new porcelain floors, throughout the main floor, laundry room and powder room, new laundry room as well as Renos to the basement. He and his crew are able to do it all, no matter the size of the job they do it with ease and the finished project is nothing short of perfection. I highly recommend Gino and his crew for any home Reno.

We hired Gino to finish a started renovation after he previously renovated our bathroom. We made several changes during the process, but Gino was very flexible and was great and giving us advice as to what would work and what wouldn't work. His subcontractors/staff were very polite and professional and the end result is very beautiful.

When my wife and I decided to Renovate our 140 year old home we interviewed 8 general contractors. Gino from Stumpo contracting was the only one that showed up on time during that process. That continued for the duration of the project once I decided to go with Stumpo. Not once did Gino leave to work on another project while mine sat idle. Gino had a fair price and did quality work, he made good suggestions during the process so that the end product turned out better them we had hoped. Gino was extremely responsive with returning calls and text/e-mails . I have recommended Stumpo contracting to my friends and will use them again if needed down the road

Our basement was a place where we threw all of our unused junk. A complete mess, until Gino and his crew turned it into a beautiful, useable living space! We were so pleased with Stumpo Contracting and would highly recommend them. Besides being easy to talk to and very personable, Gino is honest, knowledgeable, on time, on budget, and went above and beyond his commitment to us. This was just supposed to be a basement reno, but then we asked Gino to switch an old, corroded galvanized pipe from an upstairs bathroom. He gladly did it, even though it was no easy task since it went all the way down to the basement and across the kitchen ceiling. Also notable, when we had a sewage backup during the reno (roots broke through our main drain pipe), we called Gino, on a Sunday, and he came over immediately and unclogged it. Gino goes above and beyond the call of duty.

You will not be disappointed with Stumpo Contracting’s work, skill, fair rates, commitment to your project/vision, and respectfulness to your time, money, and space. They always left each day with everything cleaned up and out of your way, and always apologizing or giving fair warning if there would be a lot of dust that day, which understandably you will get during a renovation. We’re so happy with our new living space and glad that it was a pain free experience. Thank you Stumpo Contracting. You’re fantastic!

We needed to insulate and renovate our ground floor bathroom.
After some research we came to the conclusion ,Stumpo contracting was the one with the most experience.
Gino and his expert started on Monday at 8:00 AM,
He was there on time every morning without fail,from here on.And ......both did an excellent job transforming an old,cold bathroom into a worm and modern room.He even helped us selecting the right tiles and color scheme.
We are very happy with his job and we are willing to recommend his services and expertise to anyone.

We contacted Gino for various projects that we were researching and he was very honest and straight forward. I felt that he actually cared about the project that we needed done. He was very understanding and was able to get the project done with very little inconvience to our household. He was clean and the guys that he has working for him are wonderful.. Gino did an amazing job. He's honest, does great work, arrives when he says he will be there, always cleans up and is a great guy all around. We won't use anyone else...he's our guy and we would recommend him to anyone. During our renovations my father died and Gino was kind enough to halt renovations for a few days out of respect and also sent us flowers...he's simply wonderful.

Gino Stumpo made an excellent job of replacing my front walkway. The work was professionally completed with minimum inconvenience and a thorough clean-up. The cost was very reasonable and consistent with the estimate provided. Gino was pleasant to deal with and easy to contact. I recommend the company and will use them in the future without hesitation.

We got Gino to rip out our old dingy basement washroom and build us our dream bathroom. This was our first major reno and having seen too many bathroom reno disasters on HGTV, we were nervous about entrusting this project to just anyone. So we read some reviews on Homestarts and decided on Gino. The project involved moving a wall, ripping out the existing concrete floor, moving the toilet and installing new drains, installing new plumbing for the thermostatic shower, vanity faucets, installing underfloor heating, tiling the floor, shower and walls, and installing various light fixtires and other fixtures. We had very limited space available and Gino was very helpful with advice on how we were going to make this project work. Him and Leo were just exceptional in the detail that was required, they completed the project within the time frame, under budget and delivered the highest quality and workmanship. My bathroom is the envy of all my friends and neighbors and I'd like to share a few pictures with you. I would recommend Gino to anyone, and plan to call on him for a number of other projects in the future.
