I like the fact they took the time to listen to what I want and gave me a lot of suggestions about current trends and options that made my vision that much better. I very much liked the amount of preparation they put in to avoid and damage to my property and reevaluated their finished product to ensure now mistakes of missed places. After several consults with different contractors I found Nick on Kijiji and had him over to look at our kitchen to get a quote. Instantly he gave me several different and unique ideas and design concepts which I hadn't even thought of. He took pictures and says later sent me drawings of his vision for the kitchen and a quote which was quite reasonable compared to the other quotes I received and did not include any visuals. We decided to go ahead with Nick and asked for a few tweaks to the design in which he immediately redid the drawings. Once we finalized the design and picked out the material, we settled on a date. A few days before the work was to begin I had some doubts about the countertop I chose and Nick was gracious enough to take me to the shop so I could better see the samples so that I was 100% on my choice and had no regrets. Once the guys started the job, they were very professional and was able to complete it in a very timely manner. We were happy with the work they were doing that we we asked if they can revamp our powder room. Once I picked the material, it was completed in a day.
The kitchen looks amazing, we've had so many compliments about how bright and airy it looks. The powder room also looks amazing. I couldn't be happier with the work and how it all turned out. Thanks Nick and team!

We had the pleasure of working with Nick and his team to renovate our unfinished basement in February 2023. It was a project we wanted to do for quite some time but didn't know where to start. You hear horror stories about contractors so it was a pretty daunting task on who we should work with. It's a huge amount of money being put into a renovation and we didn't want to take picking a contractor lightly. We came across StClair Design Concepts and met with Nick to do a walk through and talk about what our vision was for the space. Nick was just the kindest person. Such a warm welcoming personality and you could tell he has a passion for what he does. It wasn't just a job, he actually cared. He made us feel completely at ease and the choice to go with him was a no brainer based off our first interaction. What we thought we wanted, ended up being completely different from what Nick and his team came up with...in the best way possible!! They truly maximized the area in the most practical and efficient way making it a beautiful living space for our whole family. There was an open play area for the kids, a lounge section for my girls nights and a bonus stunning bar for my husband and his buddies which we didn't even think was possible! Plus a gorgeous 3 piece bathroom and of course loads storage! He explained the value of having the extra bathroom and I am so glad we listened to him. The space was not huge to begin with but to create all of that and make it flow so effortlessly was something we could have never envisioned on our own. They really thought outside of the box and came up with this wonderful floor plan design. They brought to life our vision along with soo much more. The amount of compliments we got on the space is unbelievable. The one that stood out the most is that it didn't feel like a basement. It was so spacious, bright, warm and inviting. This project started as a "love it or list it" journey. We needed more room and started looking into other homes but we also loved our house since it was our first home together. If we were going to sell we wanted to make sure to get top dollar for it. Nick talked us through both options and made sure to create a space that fit our current needs as well add so much value to the house if we did choose to sell it. In the end we loved it and stayed! But when we are ready to sell one day I know that basement will certainly set us apart from the other houses in our neighborhood and we will definitely see the return on our investment.

I was pregnant with my 2nd child so time was a very big factor for us. This space had to be done before the baby arrived and not only did Nick and his team fit us in earlier than anticipated, they finished the basement in 2 weeks! 2 weeks!! I could not believe it, I am still in shock lol. His team showed up promptly everyday and put in the work. They were extremely efficient and fast. Their work is detailed and precise, no short cuts were taken. We know the work that was done will last for decades to come, it was done right. They cleaned up after themselves everyday and when the project was done they left our house in immaculate condition for us to just decorate as we wish. We were able to live in our house with me pregnant and a toddler throughout the entire reno. I also worked from home and was not bothered by them at all. I felt comfortable and completely safe in my home during the reno. They treated my house and my family with the utmost respect and that is something I won't forget. And honestly everyone was very kind. I was greeted with a good morning and a smile everyday.

Nick was with us every step of the way. Checking in daily, providing inspiration, going shopping with us and ensuring we were staying within our budget which was really important! When I say it was stress-free, it was really a stress-free experience from start to end because Nick handled everything for us! We didn't have to do a thing aside from pick finishes. It was a big project that went soo smoothly and even today it still seems too good to be true! It's all thanks to Nick and StClair Design Concepts. I am so grateful to have crossed paths with Nick and I truly cannot recommend them enough for any of your renovation needs. After living in a new build with basic finishes for 7 years we wanted to do a couple renovations to our home. The small ensuite was designed in such a way that did not utilize the space well. Our shower was a tiny, dark, hidden square and was just depressing. It even started to develop mold after just a few years (shotty work by the builders).

We told Nick what we wanted and he knew exactly how to transform the space. His team executed our vision perfectly and suggested adjustments that made all the difference. My wife wanted a built in bench in the shower but they advised it would make the space feel smaller. We are so happy without it. They added a niche and glass doors floor to ceiling. Instead of tile around the whole bathroom he suggested doing half wall instead which was definitely the right choice and also kept us on budget. Nick took us tile shopping and guided us along the way. He has many connections getting us the best quality materials at incredible prices.

Our ensuite is a sanctuary now, it looks like something straight out of a magazine and may be one of our favorite rooms in the house. It is light, elegant and timeless. And not to mention the entire renovation was completed in 3 days! My wife loved it so much she was ready to tell Nick to do our guest bathroom. We'll definitely be calling his team to do that in the near future!

While we had his team working in our home we had them add overhead storage to our garage. They finished this in less than a day and it's amazing! So much room to store all our seasonal items and really tackled the clutter in our home. Things are so organized now.

They upgraded our island to have an overhang. It's now our 3yr old son's favourite place to sit. And they also changed all our toilets since they were all cheap builder ones.
