We hired MATY construction to build a new deck in the front of our house. Afsin came out to give us an initial quote, and I was immediately struck by his professionalism and how much he cares to get a job done right. He came out a second time to answer additional questions that my husband had. We had several back-and-forth email exchanges to make important decisions and never was Afsin impatient with us as we considered various options. Instead, he remarked every time that he really endeavored to build us a porch that we really loved so he would be happy to continue discussing changes. They were able to schedule us in quickly and complete the job in a very reasonable time frame. One thing I really appreciated about Afsin is that he offered his own opinion about options that he thought would look best and/or be the most structurally sound, but at the end of the day he respected our opinions, so I think the end product ended up being perfect. His team was incredibly respectful and friendly. In short, if I could create a perfect contractor, this person would be Afsin. He's hard working, attentive to detail, concerned about long-term durability while also making everything look really nice, and just all around a great person.

We were very happy with Asfin. The job was completed when he said, the site was left clean and the work was done very professionally.
Asfin also provided assistance with the design of the deck to improve what was previously there.

It was serendipitous that I ran into one of his workers dropping a flyer while returning from a family outing. Communicated a lot with Afsin and decided to sign on. He was doing another deck in the area and I dropped by for a visit to check out his work. He completed the renovation in 2 weeks including demolition of the deck, footings, Trex composite stairs and deck, 2 privacy walls using Hoft and aluminum railings, skirting, 2 fences and new sod. I was planning on doing it next year but I got it done this year thanks to Afsin, and the kids love the new deck. The deck was inspected by Trex and passed with flying colours. His crew were great and Afsin was amazing to work with. I would highly recommend Maty construction if you are thinking about doing a deck and fence.

Afsin is and qualified engineer from Turkey and is familiar with all the local building codes. Our estimate was among the lowest of 5 and our deck was built to code. He and his crew are willing to work with you if you wish to do part of the project yourself and returned several times on his own time to assist me with some of the difficult cuts installing the composite flooring. He is very professional and polite. I would use him again for future projects or recommend him to anyone.

From the moment Afsin showed up at my door to provide an assessment and estimate of the work to be done to replace my existing deck I had a good feeling deep in my gut that this is a man of integrity. And Afsin, the owner of MATY Construction, did not disappoint. Not only did he show up for every appointment on time but won the bid against two other companies hands down - both in price and product! The crew of energetic carpenters and craftsmen worked tirelessly each day from sunrise to sunset, tearing down the old three tier, 550 sq-ft deck and replacing it with an upper level deck walking down to a newly sodded backyard where the lower deck once stood. The quality of their work was second to none and the team was a living example of Excellence in Motion! I could not be more pleased with the process, timeliness, cost, the team and the end result! We are very happy that we found and worked with Afsin of MATY Construction Inc. to complete our backyard composite landing and staircase project in the summer of 2023. Afsin and his team completed our project in a timely and professional manner. He exceeded our expectations when the delivery that we received from the lumber yard was short some of the required hardware materials, so he volunteered to get the materials from a local store.

Ours was a smaller project with four days initially, and then Afsin returned twice due to material issues with the lumber yard.

Afsin and his team cleaned up after themselves at the end of each visit leaving the work space tidy.
