Alex did an fantastic job on our project: an old falling-down garage had to be demolished and replaced with a parking pad on our laneway; an old fence had to be totally replaced on one side; a new portion had to be added on the other side; a new locking garden gate and fence separating the garden from the parking pad was needed. It was also complicated by the need to work cooperatively with our neighbours on both sides, the need to not disrupt the garden and climbing vines, and a tight fit between our back deck and our neighbour's deck. Alex was infinitely patient with all this, communicated sensitively and respectfully with our neighbours, and problem-solved the inevitable surprises with patience and good humour. His suggested addition of more gravel and a stone step into the parking pad (where springtime water tends to collect) was added value.
