For years, my wife has complained of draughts and a musty smell in our house. I had always chalked it up to the age of our house, it's an older mansard-style house. How very wrong I was.

A few weeks ago, a well-dressed, polite young man by the name of Zack knocked on the door of our West Nepean home and said he was from Alpha Elite, a company that specializes in a handful of home services including insulation removal. After speaking with him, he popped up into my attic and informed me of the real cause of my wife's concerns: a thin layer of very old fiberglass insulation, with patches of mould and animal droppings. He educated me that the best route for our health (and resell value of the house) would be to remove and replace the old stuff, rather than blow new product overtop of it.

We set a date for the technicians to show up. On that day, the techs, Noah and Kyle, were both punctual and polite and knew exactly what to do, even in my very awkward attic. The whole removal process only took a few hours and they left my home cleaner than when they showed up!

Now my wife and I finally have the piece of mind that our home is a safer, healthier place to reside.
