Tried to give an upcoming company a break, but disappointed.

I wanted to give what appeared to be an up and coming company some support. Communication is terrible, estimates were not clear. I had to explain the job requirements multiple times, and that the job couldn't start until the sprinkler system had been opened mid May. They agreed to a time to start and then didn't start the work until 4 weeks after that. We received their flyer in our mail box but there was NO company name on the flyer... none anywhere. I paid half up front and we agreed on the rest when the job was completed. It appears that they had no intention of completing jobs. They should not be advertising for work if they cannot keep to their commitments. Just a suggestion. It really is a waste of money to print ads and pay Canada Post to deliver them. I should have been more wary of your company when the name of the company was not listed anywhere on the circular that was delivered to my postal box. I have been trying to help companies that appear to be starting out and that was the impression I got when I first inquired about an estimate for this job. I intentionally overlooked some flags that would normally stop me from proceeding because I wanted to give a small business some support. They have abused that intention and have abused every opportunity that I presented for redemption. I wanted to believe in them and their company and I put my faith in what they presented as good intentions and a belief that they may have been someone who was trying to get a footing in something that was new for them. I no longer believe this. I can no longer overlook what I took to be growing pains. This is a business that is in need of serious organizational help. Online reviews from employees talk about lack of payment. I'm glad I got away with not having paid the full amount and I finally got part of the job done for the part of the invoice that I paid. I now have to go out and look for someone else to complete the job, 2 months after the job was supposed to be completed.

Lawn service

Overall, I am highly impressed with the service provided. The level of personalization and kindness shown resulted in a coordinated snow removal schedule that was exceptional. Furthermore, the timing of the snow removal was precise, ensuring convenience to leave my driveway for work without trouble. The professionalism and accommodation demonstrated throughout the process was commendable. Highly suggest this team for those seeking a job well done without any hassle.

highly DO NOT recommend

It was very easy to sign up for services from this company but that is where the good experiences ended.

The lawn was mowed on random days, clumps of grass were left on the lawn, parts of the lawn were not mowed, other parts of the lawn were completely scalped. The grass cutting services were not very good. One week they didn't come to cut the grass and when we emailed them about it, they told us that the grass looked like it was cut. Another week they came twice to cut the grass.

The billing and customer service were even worse, we were consistently over billed for services and services were not delivered. Customer service was unresponsive to multiple attempts at communication.

I highly highly do not recommend working with this company. I am disappointed this company is even on HomeStars.

We believe this to unfortunately be apart of a review attack from an ex-employee as he said he would do this and left one from his google account which due to a conflict of interest we were able to get removed. The rest were out of luck for as we can't prove it's him.

None of the names are showing up in our system nor have many complaints all season, let alone these types of complaints blaintenly saying we steal peoples money and don't show up.

We have not had a single bad review in years on the internet but now, months into the season already starting which is more likely when a company may scam someone or disappear with deposits, we are getting spammed with 1 star "scam reviews".

We are a legit, BBB accredited and homestars verified business and my business address is my home address plus my full name is all over the social media and website.

I am not scamming people nor does our care or communication drop for clients who have already paid.

In specifics to this review I find it extremely hard to understand how we are consistently charging for services not being recieved because we charge upfront at the beggining of the season for most services other than the weekly maintenance which the charge is always the same and is based on the visits completed in our system.

My office and I answer the phone and I check to confirm. I care about every single one of my clients and my office and I do eveything to make them happy, including providing reasonably quick responses to inquiries and showing up to do the contracted work after charging peoples credit cards.

We answer our calls and texts, try us and you will see that.

Whether permitting we should up on our scheduled dates, as per contract if they are calling for rain later in the week after your scheduled day we may come early or if there is rain on or before your day of the week we may come a day late. You can check in with the office for updates but it's fairly easy to follow looking at the weather.

I have been keeping track and we do not consistently miss our scheduled dates for ANY of our clients weekly service and are consistently showing up when we are suppose to, weather permitting.

We not only do the work, but we do good work and regularly ask our clients to ensure they are satisfied with us and I do completion and quality checks as well.

We take pride in the work we do and always do our best to keep our clients happy.

My hundreds of happy clients, many of which that have been with us for years would back me up.

Please stop the fake reviews it's extremely damaging to the business as many people have already had poor experiences with contractors in the industry and reviews are very meaningful to many as they've expressed their concerns seeing these.

Terrible Quality, Even Worse Customer Service

This is one of the worst companies in the GTA. They constantly miss their scheduled dates, charge for the incomplete service, and when they do show up, they do an awful job. They will burn your grass by cutting it too low and never trim the edges and the lot perimeter.

Their customer service is even worse, they don't respond to texts, they don't answer their phone, and if you do somehow speak with someone, they genuinely don't care and push you away with empty promises.

STAY AWAY FROM GRASS GUYS!! THEY ARE AWFUL!!!

As far as burning the lawn, we cut at 3" unless the client requests otherwise and that's more than long enough to sustain a healthy and thick lawn.

Worst service period.

This has got to be the worst company I have signed up with and have huge regrets.

Ive been charged extra for the days they didnt show up and they would show up on random days not on schedule and sometimes more than once a week only few days apart which we didnt ask for.

None of the agreement over the phone was followed up.
I cannot trust this company AT ALL.

Grass guys - reasonable price, effective service

Effective, reasonably-priced service on a tricky-to-mow lawn. Grass guys are friendly, cheerful and respectful. They responded to my customer service questions quickly and positively.
