Why, oh why, my wife and I were asking, wasn't our cottage washing machine hooked up like this in the first place? Fred and Jun (sp?) from Kempe showed up a few minutes early (!) for the repair to two copper pipes that had burst over the winter owing to insufficient drainage for the second time in two years. Last year's plumber patched the existing pipes. Not good enough. The Kempe team not only put in special drain valves on the two NEW pipes, they also came up with a much better system for attaching the washing machine hoses. Did it cost more than the previous "repair"? Sure. About $30. We were so pleased with the work, we have engaged the company to close and open our cottage in future.
