Factory Direct Appliance Service

Merv is the guy I will go to for any appliance issue. He came in a flash, identified the issue with my fridge in under 10 minutes, ordered the parts on the spot and installed them the next day. Not only is he skilled, he’s also professional and pleasant.

Merv is very professional and knowledgeable. He was able to figure out the issue with the dishwasher and also provided handy information and tips to prevent any further issues in the future. He was also very responsive and accommodating with booking the appointment. His fee was also reasonable for the service he provided. I will definitely book him again for any future appliance repair and highly recommend!

Our dryer stopped giving out heat so I put a service request in through Homestars last night. Within minutes there was contact from Factory Direct saying they could be here in the morning. Merv was actually early arriving despite the unexpected snowfall. Checked on the problem, had the part and everything fixed within the hour. All covid protocols in place. Impressed and will definitely call Merv with any future appliance repair needs.

My fridge broke. Called a few folks....got run around. Put out to tender on Homestars....Merv picked up my message, came to my house.

Inspected the fridge, guessed (correctly) it was the switch. Replaced the switch, and we're cold again.

$140 for the visit
$120 for the switch

Whirlpool had no appointments for the next week. Based on input from others, I searched HomeStart for the very first time, Factory Direct had a Five start review so I decided to give it a try. Merv contacted me within an hour, to my surprise, was able to attend my home the next morning. Ice Maker working again! I am handy but I would have struggled to correct the problem myself. Very was punctual and professional.

I spilled raw custard and water on my oven door and it seeped between the 4 panes of glass that form the front of my oven. Merv took the door completely apart so that the glass could be cleaned along with all the braces and supports and put it all back together. I could never have done this myself. It was very complicated. He is very patient, very particular. He came prepared for COVID 19. He wore a mask and gloves. Very pleasant and professional. I will keep his card and call him again if I need appliance repair.

Our dryer stopped heating and therefore needed to have the heating coil replaced. Merv was on time, he was courteous, quick to diagnose the problem and replaced the broken part within the hour. We were able to get this problem solved within the same day!

Shortly after I logged on Homestars I got a call from factory direct appliance service, they had an opening and came right away. The tech had questioned me on the phone and brought the replacement part with him. He followed responsible Covid guidelines and fixed the problem promptly. He brought safety equipment do as not to damage the floor. He cleaned the machine and gave us good tips for regular maintenance. Great service!
