Humber Appliance Repair

I explained the issue on my washing machine on home stars. Humber appliances called me back. They said Diagnosis was $120+Tax. Repair will be $245+Tax.
Technician showed up. As soon as he entered he said my machine is not repairable based on the information I have provided. He came to my laundry room and turned on the machine. Said drum is broken. Repair will cost around $1000. He didn't even have to use any of his tools. Spent maximum 15 minutes. Charged $120+Tax. This is very easy money for driving to my house and giving opinion without much effort. If he had used tools to open up my machine and show me the problem, charging is fair. But this didn't happen.

Flat fee looks attractive. But can be very frustrating to customers too.

Technician came on time, examined the refrigerator (which is 20 years old) and diagnosed the problem immediately. The refrigerator was then repaired and the technician left the area spotless.

I found the invoice amount a bit too high considering it was a 40 minute job which I also assisted in the stove take out and put back.

The worst service starts from their call centre trickling down to their repair specialist. Horrible experience. Do not go with this company. The call center and service specialists do not communicate in a timely manner. As a customer, I had to be the middle guy to communicate and set up appointments and follow up on parts being ordered. After more than a week and 4 appointments, they decide they can't fix it, and want to make another appointment to come to take out 2 $40.00 parts so they can send them back to the manufacturer. They did not care about my time at all. Additionally, they did not show up at the timeslot they were supposed to come in.

Excellent next day service. Repair personnel informed, polite, on time and knowledgeable. Have previously used this company and have absolutely no reservations about recommending them. They are able to work with a wide range of appliance manufacturers. The central office communicates politely, very effectively, and with superb attention to detail.

Had issue with Samsung oven not getting to temperature when cooking. Company contacted me the same day and sent out a technician to confirm the issue. The technician searched multiple vendors to find the part required and was able to replace the part the next day. Very impressed with the service from start to finish and will use company again for any future appliance issues. Highly recommended!!!
