StarTub Refinishing

Partially finished the job, said he would return to finish than never came. More than 1 month of follow ups he finally returned to finish the job and charged extra. The finished product did not even last 10 days even though we followed all directions (house was empty, water was off). The finished product started to form bubbles and began peeling off at various places and the company refused to take responsibility. Said he would come back to fix it and never did. I have been following up now for additional 2mth and he finally responded when i called from a private number. He said he simply doesn't want to come back despite the product being under warranty, SWORE at me, than hung up.

I hired Startub based on their good reviews, and although I realize you can't please everybody, I am VERY disappointed in their after sale service. I would NOT recommend them!! I needed to have a tub refinished in a rental property that I own. I called and got a quote, then arranged for the service to be done. So far so good.
Just a few weeks after the refinishing was done, the tenant called me to advise there was a bubble in the glaze on one of the sides of her tub. Naturally, I called and arranged for a service call for a touch up which I was assured would be completed. For a number of reasons, it took couple of months for the tech to arrive for the service call. In the mean time, the glazing was falling off in sheets, and most of the tub was now back to its original state. Silvano then told me a number of reasons that the glaze fell off all because of the tenant. She started to use it too soon after the job was complete, she washed her dog in the tub and his nails scratched the surface, there was overspray, and a few others. What it really looks like is the surface wasn't properly prepped and the glaze didn't adhere properly.
The next thing he told me was that I would have to pay an additional $150.00 to have him refinish it. Then he changed his mind and because the tenant damaged the finish, I will have to pay for it all over again.
it would have been much cheaper to just put a new tub in to begin with, which I will end up doing. Save yourself lots of grief, and don't hire this company. Below are before and after photos.

Scheduled my bath tub refinishing , via text which I found to be very convenient. I sent him photos of my tub and he gave me all the details of the process. The tub came out great except I had a tiny leak at the time I didn’t know about so near the drain got wet and didn’t allow the paint to dry. But without a problem I told them about my issue and they had another person come out to refinish/ paint that part so it would be perfect after my plumber fixed the leak. They hold up to their guarantee, and came out promptly after I reached out for the second fix. Highly recommended. Both guys that came out to refinish were very friendly.

Silvano did an amazing job. Already recommended to my mother who wants to do the same thing. The project took a little longer than anticipated due to the color of my original tile but he wanted to make sure he applied enough coats. He was honest and thorough and his prices were very competitive.
