After attempting to reshingle my Mom's house (we ended up with a half white/half red house for a couple years!), we decided to contact the Home Depot for an estimate to install vinyl siding.
The Home Depot sales consultant, Brian Jacques was extremely informative - we learned a whole lot about the materials and the installation procedures the Home Depot used. And Brian gave us the time we needed to make our decision - we were never pressured into a sale. We were sold on the warranty and the option to transfer that warranty to the next owner if we choose.
Very soon after the papers were signed, we received a visit from our project manager, Mitch Nappi. A 'walk through' was conducted and Mitch helped us make the decisions that would best suit our house. Mitch's varied experience in the building trades made him the perfect person for the project manager role.
The project was completed in just 3 days! The workers were efficient and polite and it was so exciting to come home each day and see so much progress! Mitch was always checking in with the crew to make sure things were going smoothly.
We are very pleased with the outcome. And as you can see from the before and after photos, the improvement to the house is incredible!
One other reason that I would recommend the Home Depot for your siding project was what happened long after our project was completed. We had the siding done in the fall of last year. On a Saturday just before Christmas, we had a leak above the bay window in the kitchen (right in the middle of baking Christmas cookies!!). I gave Mitch a call and explained what was going on. He came right down that day! And even though our leak was not directly associated with the new siding (it was an ice dam on the roof), Mitch looked over the leaking area inside and out, and even went with me upstairs to check in the attic. This experience made us realize that we choose the right contractor for our siding project. And I'm sure our neighbors are just as happy as we are .... no more half white/half red house!
