Had our kitchen and living room floor renovated and appreciated the professionalism and patience of the guys from Captain Handy. They took the time to hear out my ideas and improve upon them to come up with a kitchen and living room that really exceeded my expectations. We hired Captain to remove old patio stones, remove soil and to install a new patio stone. Alex provided a fast (same evening), detailed estimate for the work to be done. The team was always clear and prompt in their communications about our project. Requested work was done on time. The staff was always friendly. We're very happy with the work.

From the first phone call conversation to the end of the job Captain Handy was really cool. I have always afraid of dealing with contractors because they always promise one thing and you can receive something completely different at the end. There was a bit of scheduling miscommunication at the beginning because of my business trip and Alex's other projects, but once the project was underway, all the work was carried out efficiently. There was attention from the crew to each detail starting with the demolition of the old fence sections right through to the installation of the new fence. We appreciated some complementary small job with the gate's hinges done by Muky. Our new fence is looking good!

There was a need to make an extension to our existing deck and to make the railings all over the perimeter. We hired Alex and now we have a beautiful right sized deck to enjoy our summers on.

I found Captian Handy in Google read a few reviews and decided to call for an appointment. Alex came on fairly short notice we talked about my plans and then I got an estimate and we decided to start this job. His team comes, they disassembled a portion of our fence that was falling down and install completely new sections instead. Alex and his crew were professional, the job has been done fast.

Alex and his Crew (Lance, Muki, Naime, Apollo) spent almost two weeks working with us on our project. For this short period of time they managed to built a new driveway extension, walkway to backyard, patio on backyard (all interlock), new stone steps and erect a new deck from scratch. All that including demolition, excavation and clean up! This was the first time we had no stress working with contractors! The guys were very responsive to our requests making the required adjustments and offering options. Although we have a couple of minor concerns about the deck (that we would have done a little different), the complete picture looks great. The stonework deserves the highest mark though!
The Captain Handy team also did a very good job on cleaning up after their work and made sure the site looks presentable after they leave.
Alex, being a very busy man not only managing all the business administration, but also taking a significant participation in the actual construction process was always easy to reach, providing first class customer service.
Another thing to mention is that this project was very competitively priced compared to the other quotes we had.
Our family is very pleased with the work and the customer service that Captain Handy provided to us. We strongly recommend them to those who are not afraid to support a relatively young firm, looking for having the job done and save some money on that too!
