August 1st or very close to that date 2018. He saw my rotted facia boards and leaking seamless gutters (epdm). Yes I needed a fix I hired him literally on the spot. He showed up 2 hours later with his equipment i thought i had a real go getter. Paid half up front. Job included painting all exterior trim (painting isn't hard I just don't like ladders) after facia was replaced, I won't complain there accept 1 spot I touched up myself, After a week I thought the job was completed. It rains a ton here in Vancouver so it was tough to tell over the winter months. So comes the spring and on March 26 and go ahead Shawn confirm this is me.( I say confirm it is me because the slandures lawsuit remark in the photos provided he claimed that the other complaint was me when in fact it was a totally other dissatisfied customer) I email a video to him which clearly shows water just pouring out of my Soffits onto my deck which paid 10K for right after his work was completed I will try to up load when done here, his response is quick, "remind me who this is" I tell him who and my address and all tell him its on a low roof right over my brand new deck super easy fix no more than 10 min work. April 2nd I message again "how's my quick fix coming", no response. Again April 7th I message, "Shawn. What's going on. When are you coming to fix. He responds "soon as its dry" I respond "ok I appreciate it stay in touch", so now I'm watching weather and waiting. May 11th 6 weeks after first contact me " Hey Shawn how about my repair." no response. June 1 I send a picture of the rubber sealant he used or most likely never replaced the original glue I have taken it off the EPDM now and sent him a picture letting him know its a bigger issue than i thought. This is now 2 full months from first contact. To claim no dry days in 2 months is just plain ignorant. June 11 me " today must be my lucky day" no response. June 12 me "today wasn't my lucky day" June 18th me " I'm placing a complaint with the BBB against your company I have waited long enough", unfortunately he isn't even listed with them so i couldn't do this YET, funny thing is his quote sheet says BBB accredited.. I will tomorrow July 8th 2019. I finally get a response on July the 3rd and the photos show it all . No apology nothing about getting the job fixed that he claims on his quote sheet he gaurantees his work, just straight to threatening me with a slanderous law suit. As you can see from the 2 other complaints on here they sound eerily similar. right down to the I forgot my wallet and need some pocket cash for cigarettes. He did the same to me half way thru and I gave him 100$. What is just as bad or even worse is since the initial dealings with him I have located 2 more spots on the higher soffits where drips are coming thru my EPDM and now have no choice but to call another company and have them complete this job. As a new home owner I am completely annoyed. To top off this horror story at the time of first meeting Shawn I called a friend with gutter issues at the same time as him working on my place and my friend is still waiting for him to come back and finish the job.
