We needed assistance with a small short term project, replacing drywall on multiple walls around the installation of new windows in our 1970s home. MKZ made this possible around a busy long weekend schedule and worked with us to ensure everything was done the right way. Although we had some awkward spaces they left us with surfaces that were easy to paint and tile. It's clear they have made their customers a priority. Highly recommend.

Max and company took control as soon as we decided what I wanted. Each day someone came in and did their particular job and left. It went very smoothly. I am very pleased with my finished basement room. Will be enjoying it for a long time.

Max and his team did a great job making our popcorn ceilings smooth and covering up a fake brick wall with drywall to make the room appear seamless. The quality work speaks for itself - the results are amazing!

We added on painting to our mainfloor drywalling job. With priming everything and completing painting of the ceilings and walls it only took about 3 days extra. The painters were very efficient and the walls and ceiling have full coverage. Definitely saved us alot of time vs if we had tried to complete the painting ourselves.

I was a residential project manager for renovations for over 20 years and I have a mixed review. Maxime the owner quoted me based on a photo and measurement I took; he never once attended the site which to me was unusual. There was a mix-up as to the start date which I was fine with as I didn't have a deadline and postponed due to the excuse that their delivery truck broke down the day of delivery (which I believe to be true). The drywall was quite damaged at delivery as well as the stairwell walls being marked (they offered to repair but I declined. The installers installed the drywall regardless of the damage. The taper did an amazing job cutting out and repairing the damage and one could not tell it ever looked bad. Max, the taper informed me of his projected arrival time each day he was on site as well as how long he would take. If not for him, I would have given MKZ 1 star. All of the crews were nice enough men and very respectful.

Pleased that I hired MKZ Construction to remove the popcorn ceiling in my townhouse. Right from the beginning they were professional and reliable. They came to my worksite prior to giving me a detailed and understandable estimate. They charged the price quoted! Along the way they were open in their communication, even touching base daily with finish times and estimated start times for the next day. My new ceiling looks amazing. Popcorn ceiling removal was done well. Max has got to be the quickest person to ever respond to my inquiries. The team was professional and got the job done on time.

Were very glad we had our popcorn ceiling removed by MKZ. It took a sobering chunk of our renovation budget, but the transformation is phenomenal and well worth the investment. Max was able to book us in at relatively short notice, and flexible when the preceding tradespeople overran. He stuck to his quote, despite inevitable complications. Each member of the team was friendly, professional and had an eye for detail. They suggested addressing areas which I hadnt expected them to, like smoothing out uneven walls, which has all greatly enhanced the quality of the space. Thank you, MKZ!!

Great that they had all specific trades people for each part of the job (drywall delivery, boarding, taping, sanding and priming). The timing was very seamless, which was much appreciated.

Maxime from MKZ construction from start to finish was upfront and clear in his estimate. The job was started and completed in a time frame that was fast and appropriate. Jerome who conducted the taping and preparatory work for the knock-down texture was efficient and did a good job. Nathan who did the texture did a good job as well. There were a few areas that he needed to come back to make minor repairs but he came back and did so efficiently and effectively. We are happy with the job overall.

The area of improvement for MKZ construction would be coordination. We had to stay in an AirBnB for the duration of the repair/upgrade job and it would have been much better if there was better communication as to the start time and the process. It was stressful at the start but when the job commenced it got much better.

Overall, I will go with this company again if I would have another drywall/texture job that needs to get done.
