Renosmart

Renosmart finished our basement this winter. The basement was unspoiled (as the saying goes) and required everything -- new insulation, drywall, ceiling, floors, bathroom, etc. The Renosmart team had excellent recommendations on how to make the best use of the space we had, and how to handle some possible challenges (e.g. lower ceilings in part of the basement). They made minor adaptations to the plan at our request as the project went along, for example, adding some built-in shelves. The project, which was scheduled to last approximately four weeks, was completed on time and on budget.
Our basement has been completely transformed into a beautiful living space, with lots of storage, including a finished pantry. We're extremely pleased by the end result. From start to finish, Renosmart was very professional. I found the company's communication in particular to be excellent, and the team kept us informed of progress, and was also always very quick to answer our questions or provide information when requested. The Renosmart team is very easy to deal with, and was also very good natured about our very friendly and curious dog, who was interested in everything they did. The team's attention to detail is excellent. For example, they turned the furnace circulation off when drywalling to reduce the amount of dust throughout the house.
A neighbour referred Renosmart to us, and we would gladly use the company again for major renovations. Renosmart has our highest recommendation.

Had my shower walls changed from a plastic cover to actual porcelain tiles. Great communication from Alex. Excellent work done. I was even able to select the tiles I wanted online and had them pick them up for me, and simply add them to the bill. Quick but efficient work. Would highly recommend for any interior job. Alex and Eric did quite a lot for us in a very short time and did one hell of a job at that. In the course of three weeks, they renovated our upstairs main bathroom, the powder room on our main floor, put up stacked stone on both sides of our two-way fireplace (once side is the living room and the other is the family room), installed pot lights and a back-splash in our kitchen, installed a ceiling lite junction box and fixture in our family room (previously no light on the ceiling) and installed a new light fixture in the main hallway over the stairs (grand entrance with 20 foot ceiling). Alex and Eric were extremely efficient, professional, and very focused on the job at hand; on the job site, they didn't waste a single minute. Most importantly they were polite and courteous of myself and our family and respected us and our home. They left the house clean and tidy at the end of every day, just as it was upon their arrival in the morning. Above all else, the single thing that impressed me the very most with these two was their attention to detail and commitment to doing the best job possible. They take pride in their work and the finishing work and finishing touches that they they undertook to ensure that everything was crisp and clean at the end of the job were incredible. I plan to hire them again the next time we decide to renovate our home and you should too.

Alex and Eric were extremely professional and did an outstanding job on our bathroom reno. Found Alex by chance......was selling him some drywall and we started talking about his services. He struck me as a very mature, responsible and great attention to detail type of contractor (probably due to his engineering background). His work was spot on in terms of timing, quality and budget.
