My situation: I recently had new windows and doors installed by window contractor who disconnected my home alarm system, so the wires from the previous alarm system were left aside. I needed these wires to be reconnected again to re-install my existing home security alarm. This is where wysLink via Homestars came in handy.

Homestars: I reached out to over 12 contractors on the site and spoke to several of them via messages on the platform and over the phone. Many of them (not mentioning names) had their whole sales pitch on 1) why I should replace my old home alarm system 2) why it's obsolete 3) why I should go wireless 4) why I should have home monitoring. Basically deflecting all reasons why they can't just re-install he current existing alarm system. Luckily I got in contact with Kevin from wysLink via Homestars.

WysLink: I sent all my photos of the work that needed to be done via Homestars message. Four zones needed to be re-installed (2 doors + 2 windows) and the motion sensor at the main entrance. My keypad at the main entrance was intact / operable and the lockbox in the basement didn't need to be touched either. I booked through Kevin over the weekend and had Mike come in on the following Monday. The two installers came in, had a quick look and test of all four zones and began re-installing the connectors, using the existing wires left behind from the window contractors. Whether the wires were short or long, wysLink was able to get the job done and done very quick and professionally. Mike and co-worker were in and out within 30 minutes. All four zones (doors, windows) and sensor were tested and I did not have to do any reprogramming on my keypad. Fast, clean and efficient. Thanks again wysLink! I definitely recommend them!
