After meeting several contractors, my wife and I embarked on a bathroom install on the third floor of our 100-year-old Beaches home with Rafael and his team. Having worked with other contractors in the past, we were bracing ourselves for a messy disruption in our daily lives. In the end, our worries were completely unfounded as we were blown away by how smoothly the project went. There were several areas where we were particularly impressed.

1. Communication: Rafael was very hands on from the time of the quote to the completion of the project. The quote was very clearly laid out so that we knew what to expect throughout the process. He spent a significant amount of time on-site (essentially daily) and was extremely responsive to any questions that came up through the project. Overall a pleasure to communicate with!

2. Workmanship: It was clear that the team was extremely detail-oriented and proud of the work that they were doing. From the demolition to the plumbing, electrical, drywall and tiling, there were no cut corners. Everyone showed up on time and worked hard through the day, while at the same time being respectful of the fact that we were living in the space (with a newborn!).

3. Cleanliness: At the end of each day, the team made sure to keep not only the bathroom work-site, but also the adjacent stairwell and entry to our home spotless. Unlike other projects that we have had done, it didn’t feel like we were living on a work site – something that we had thought was a given with other contractors. Truly amazing!

In the end, we can’t be happier with the final project. Finished on time and on budget to an outstanding level of finish. I would not hesitate to recommend HomeBuild to anyone, and they will be our go-to team for other projects in the future!
