siding damaged during install

We hired AZ to install Hardie panels and planks on our new home build. We opted for a custom coating in black. Generally the experience was good but the team that did the siding install were really sloppy. Many times we saw them walking on the finished surface, dragging panels over gravel sand side down. I mentioned this to the project manager and he said he would talk to them about this and assured us that any deficits would be touched up after completion.

In the end the damage was well beyond a touch up. I have tried to engage AZ in finding a resolution but they have not responded other than to offer a trivial amount (the 2% we held back, we should have held back more).

The pictures attached are after the house was power washed twice. This is not surface dirt.

I don't know if we got one of their less skilled subcontractors for our install, but I would certainly caution using AZ for more expensive unique siding installs. If you do use them, I would recommend a larger hold back until the work is fully completed.

AFTER SOME DISCUSSION AZ AGREED TO REIMBURSE US FOR THE COST OF A SINGLE COAT OF PAINT TO THE HOUSE TO MITIGATE THE DAMAGE. THEY DID NOT ADMIT ANY FAULT AND MAINTAIN THAT IT WAS AN ISSUE WITH THE COATING APPIED BY FISHER COATINGS. THIS AGREEMENT WAS SATISFACTORY TO ALL AND I HAVE UPDATED MY RATING OF THE COMPANY. I WILL PUT NEW PICTURES UP WHEN THE WORK IS DONE.

Install Siding and Metal Facia Cover

AZ Siding install Hardie siding and metal Facia cover. The project was suppose to last 2 weeks, but lasted for 8 weeks. They are vey unorganized and unprofessional. They install metal cover over the facia and it looks horrible. They only have good reviews but does not have actual workmanship experience. I will not recommend AZ Siding for any project.

Hello Niklesh!
Finally, after 7 months of trying to get paid from you and the civil tribunal, I can write you a reply!
We feel exactly the same after working with you Niklesh! You and your wife were rude and disrespectful to our guys (I saved a letter from Mike, rejecting to come back to your project) who initially started the job and by the end of the job you decided to blame us in 2 broken roof tiles which our installers showed to you originally.
8 pieces of metal in 400 linear feet of build-in gutters that weren't cleaned in a few years? Give me a break!
Any contractors please be aware of working with these people!

Not to be trusted

Hired AZ Siding for siding and Facia project. The project supposed to complete in 2 weeks but it took 8 weeks. The worker that was doing the project was very unprofessional . He was doing Facia cover for which he had no experience with metal work which was later confirmed by the AZ Siding. I hired AZ siding based on the reviews but I was wrong as those reviews were definitely doesn't seems to be true. The worker even broke my roof tiles and the AZ Siding refused to fix. They even left metal pieces in the gutters which I later have to hire someone to clean and fix the roof tile. Will not recommend AZ Siding for any project.

Heritage Revitalization Agreement Completed

I have been meaning to write this review for some time, but was waiting to receive final approvals from the City for our project. We have now received our completion certificate, our Heritage Revitalization Agreement has been completed, and our building permit has been closed thanks to Andrey and the diligent and hardworking crew at AZ Siding. After having been quoted over 50K to finish the exterior of our house on a project that had already doubled in cost, we were forced to dismiss the contractors we had hired to complete the job. We were fortunate enough to be able to find AZ Siding - in a few short days in March of this year, Andrey and his team were able to complete the work demanded by the Heritage Professional and the City - AND they replaced all of the cedar siding at the front of the house for less than 20% of what we had been quoted by our original contractors. We are exceptionally grateful. After the City Heritage specialist inspected the work, no deficiencies were noted, and the project was signed off after five years. Thank you very much for your hard work, attention to detail and your professionalism. A++++

Hardie Plank Installation

Andrey and his team ( Mike project manager) (Manny installer) ( Marc estimator) replaced the cedar siding on one side of my house that kept peeling and was a constant maintenance problem. I have experience in building and renovating , but I needed to find someone who I could trust to do a good job. Mike came to look at the work to be done, and recommended flashing work that I had not thought of and helped deal with my concerns about doing a good job. Demo work went quickly, the debris was hauled away the day of the demo. I painted the chimney prior to install of the Hardie plank, and materials were delivered and install started almost the next day. Cleanup was done well. Mike inspected the install and noticed a few small deficiencies. I told him I could deal with them but he told me he would take care of it. Andrey came to do some fine tuning and in fact had some more custom flashing made to make the job better than I could have imagined. The cost was exactly as estimated. Megan ( office administrator) was efficient and accurate in the billing and issuing of receipts. When Andrey left he told me if I have any issues about the job that his work has a warranty. I trusted Andrey and Mike and am pleased with the outcome.

Replace Siding

I wanted to have my vinyl siding replaced with Hardie Board. AZ Siding was quick with a quote and after I decided to go with them they were calling in a couple of days to see if they could start the demo the next day. Thomas started the job the next morning and is a very hard worker. Within a week the job was done and I couldn't be happier with it.
