Full Home Reno - Integrity and Quality Workmanship

In 2015 Alan took on the general contractor role as well as performed most of the work for a full renovation of an original condition semi in Toronto. It was a big job:
- complete demo back to the bricks
- complete electrical (sub out)
- complete plumbing (partial sub)
- redo of all walls and ceilings and insulation and doors and stairs, etc...
- structural work to strength rafters and floor joist (no squeaks!)
- new kitchen and bathroom and floors and drywall and windows
- paint (partial sub)

Alan brings a lot to the table. He has the skills to do the work and the management capability to organize the overall project, sub trades and source material. He holds himself and his crew to a high standard of workmanship. He has the network to find decent sub trades, and when one (painter) no-showed he stepped up and it was resolved.
The job was fairly and accurately quoted at the start. The only cost escalation was due to legitimate discovery work, or scope additions that I requested, and these were reasonably quoted.
In addition, he has an excellent eye for design and aesthetic. Numerous suggestions of his, both large and small, were directly incorporated into the project.
After completion, one defect occurred (minimal considering the scale of the project), and it was resolved quickly and without extra cost.
In the wrong hands this kind of a project can easily turn into a nightmare. However, Alan is a pro and I never lost confidence or questioned his judgement or workmanship.
Well done!

Post major reno there have been numerous small and medium jobs too. All well executed.
And he has done work with other family and friends.
