So professional. A true craftsman. It was done in one day. The price was so reasonable. The quality of work clearly shows his vast experience. I love that he the owner did the work by himself because I knew he would care.

Professional in every sense of the word, reliable and communicative throughout the entire job. James built our deck with a level of craftsmanship beyond my expectations, level, square and solid. Unlike other trades I had dealt with in the past, there was no drama, no frustration, just a professional dedication to delivering outstanding workmanship at the right price and completed when promised.

James came every day and worked without stopping, doing a fantastic job. People walking by would stop and watch, cars driving by would pull over and look. He tore down the existing deck, finding that it was dangerous, not even attached to the house. Then he built the most beautiful deck, with lighted stairs so anyone using the steps after dark could easily see where they were going. We were so pleased with the front deck that we asked James to build us a back deck, tearing down the existing "sunroom". Well we didn't think anything could match the job he did on the front, but he far exceeded our wishes. James suggested we keep the existing roof of the sunroom. That way, if it rained, we just moved under the roof. Everything he touched was completely finished, even to the sanding down of handrails. And again, James worked steadily from the minute he arrived until he left at the end of the day.

Since last year I was looking for someone to build a triangle pergola. Found Cedar Ridge Carpentry (via HomeStars) which was able to fit my needs within 2 weeks period. James is such an honest, dedicated and skilled carpenter who can build you anything you ask him. And he came when he said he will come, he build it within the time he said he will do it and within reasonable budget. Working with James on this project was pleasure and I would recommend him to anyone who needs carpentry services. Ecellent work which made me very happy.

He came to us to quote a front porch/deck, and immediately had ideas on how to design it.

When it came time to start the work, he was right on time, and worked hard throughout the job, and despite some additional design features that were added he finished on time.

The end result was a gorgeous deck, that has introduced us to neighbors we hadn’t met before as they stop by to admire and discuss the deck. It has transformed the front of our house, and we couldn’t be happier with the result.

Cedar Ridge Carpentry was super professional and fast with our porch. They made sure to keep us in the loop about what was going on and how long everything would take. James always cleaned up after himself and the porch was everything we wanted and needed. It brightened up the front of the house and is 20x sturdier then the one we had before.
