Amateur Hour at Nordik

This company does not seem to care about decent workmanship. We had every window in our house replaced as well as 2 sets of double entry doors. There were problems from the first install of the windows. One window was not sealed properly and 3 of the interior window trims had 1 inch gaps between the trim and the wall tile. The installer just filled it with cheap caulking that cracked the same day they left. We called our sales rep Peter and he never called us back. Once Peter gets your cheque you will never hear from him again even though he will tell you he will take care of you throughout the process. After numerous calls to the service department and no response we called the supervisor to discuss the matter. Subsequently a service technician came to the house and assessed the problems and told us someone else would need to come to make the repairs. We then had our two main entry doors installed. The installers broke two tiles in the floor at the doorway and proceeded to glue a tile back down with about a half a tube of exterior caulking. The nauseous fumes in the house were so strong that we had to remove the tile and scrape off all the caulking ourselves. Eventually another technician came to glue the tile down properly and we had to use our own grout and grout the tile ourselves. One of our windows is crooked at install and we were told that either they would order us a new window but due to backlog we would be lucky if we got it by September and that our other option was to "live with it". In total it has been 7 days of install and repairs over a period of 3 months to get the windows and doors replaced. The interior window trim is poorly installed with so much caulking and wood filler splattered on the nail holes and seams that it took us two days to sand the trim for preparation for paint. The one positive from this experience is that the ladies in the office that take calls, especially Trish were very responsive. However, once your call gets put through to someone in service, good luck getting a return call. It has been very frustrating to say the least to spend as much money as we did and then have such poor service. Based upon our experience I would not recommend this company to others. Spend your money elsewhere.
