Not good.

Not good. A clip that holds the upper shelf of my dishwasher in place broke. I called First Fix and my call was directed (for a fee I'm sure) to Lea Repair. I sent photos of my make, model and serial number, the part ($25 on-line), and the price of the part delivered to my door ($35). I was texted that the fee would be $65 + tax. When Alex arrived, I was told the fee is $240 (minus $65) + $75 for the part + tax. Why wasn't I told this up front? Edgar, the manager, tells me it's on the website somewhere. I ask why I wasn't told, he says everybody does it this way. Really? I've dealt with companies that honestly tell you costs BEFORE coming to your home. I ask, why triple the price for the part? He says, because they back the service for 3 months. Reasonable, but again, why am I not told this up front? It's because Lea Repair would rather have a technician in your kitchen than discuss the real details over the phone. It's a tactic and I don't like it. In the end, I paid the technician $73.45 because I understand the costs involved in visiting a customer. But Lea's service over the phone is bad, even deceitful. No honesty here...and no idea how well the repair would have gone, but I don't care to deal with companies like Lea Repair. The only reason I gave them a "2" instead of "0" is because the technician showed up on time.
