Talked to most Drywall/plaster specialists on Homestars and after this experience Benny's Ceiling Stucco Removal is the best quality and value out there.

Our project involved a painted 17ft high ceiling and 4 rooms on the main floor which required a lot of sanding and touching up. Benny was one of the few who owned his own scaffolding (others charged an extra 1k to rent) among a vast array of equipment for a professional job. Over a period of 7 days their team (Benny+Carlos) would cover flooring meticulously taped down with paper. Apply plastic, brand new packages of drop sheets and divide up rooms to contain dust and protect furniture, fans were used to dry over night in the colder winter weather. They left it clean and accessible each day when they finished.

Benny is very friendly and knowledgeable at this trade. The final product is completely perfect. Not a single line or imperfection in the ceiling and he used the highest quality Regal line paint you can find. The edges of the room were sanded down by hand completely flush which is most difficult and differentiates his higher quality of work to others out there. He was happy to touch up several walls and fix old imperfections around the house done by others. Didn't require an upfront deposit and was very trustworthy to make sure we were satisfied.

We had another company with very high rated reviews on homestars do our bedrooms, they used cheaper paint and left imperfections just eyeballing the finish without adjusting lighting in the rooms which became visible in low lighting. Benny goes to the effort to block windows in rooms, use large lighting rigs to adjust lighting and ensure a perfect finish in all lighting levels, you are getting the most professional level of work out there. The areas of the house that Benny did ended up being far superior, wish we called him from the start.

I strongly recommend you go with Benny for any plastering work and stucco/popcorn removal. This type of work requires a high level of experience, skill, patience and talent and you will be more than happy with the results. He was a pleasure to deal with.

Stop Searching. You found the BEST. Benny, Carlos and Frankie did an amazing job removing the popcorn ceiling in our house. Ceilings look beautiful. Benny is more critical of his work then we were. In our view, Benny went beyond the call of duty. Very skilled and reasonably priced !! Call Benny. You won’t be disappointed.

After getting a quote from Benny, he brought in Frank in to spend a month working on our old basement; framing, drywall and muding on walls and ceiling, fitted a custom door, with frame, finished basement stairs and re-tiled a broken shower basin. It was a lot of work for one person, but Frank did a great job. Both Benny and Frank are very friendly, knowledgeable and skilled in their trades. Frank is a hard and honest worker - honest about the time the work would take, as well as the costs. Frank was careful to get our agreement on all and any changes or decisions and never pushed anything on us - he was keen for us to do whatever work we could to save ourselves money (e.g. I was able to fit my own pot lights rather than pay for this). The finished job is brilliant, we got a number of quotes for the work and are very pleased to have gone with Benny and Frank. We would highly recommend them.

Benny is one of the best professionals in the industry. He is thorough and makes sure every detail is perfect. He went above and beyond to ensure that the entire main floor ceiling was absolutely perfect before he finished the job. He even threw in additional services to help us out and the total project was very reasonably priced. Benny came exactly as advertised on his other reviews posted here. He is a plastering specialist who takes great care and pride in his work. His attention to detail was apparent throughout the entire job. Working on the ceiling over the stairs wasn't a challenge for Benny with his scaffold setup.

The master bedroom ceiling, and the walls and ceiling leading up to the 2nd floor had a very dated textured plaster look (first 2 pics). Benny covered it all with four skim coats over three days. After the fourth skim coat, it really didn't need much sanding. He is that expert a craftsman at his trade. His partner, Carlos, spent a day sanding then painting to perfect the job. I'm totally blown away by just how good this job turned out. And I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Benny and Carlos for jobs requiring plastering repair or skim coating.
